Anyone seen much of Denis Zakaria who is also mentioned by Sky. Did the YouTube search and he seems like Wanyama of 2 years ago but possibly with better passing range.

Berge looks better if the two by far imho, however, Zakaria looks much better better than both.

Amadou Diawara looks very talented and skilful as a b2b / dm player.

Diawara would be my first choice, followed by Zakaria.

These other two just don’t look anywhere near the level we would need and skipp looks better than both of them.

I like this player and was impressed in the CL games vs fernandinho and NDombele. I like the fact that (if this interest in true) we have identified the need for players with an all around skillset for the middle of the park. Ultimately, I guess the discussion is 'mute' because we getting IIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSCCCCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOO...wooooooo!!!!! Sure, he is a player that hogs the ball, slows play, and isn't really a CM but I've been sold on it; Isco at the lane bitches!!!!!

I think he'd be fantastic for us. Reminded me a bit of Abou Diaby (who had the most potential I ever saw in a young midfielder), Viera-esque, better in the challenge than Berge and made good decisions. Saw him live and he stood out like a sore thumb, especially for such a young player. Out of favour a bit at Monchengladbach, they'd be mad to let him go IMO.

Yeah but @Paolo10 also thinks Andre Gomes is good so ... :cautious:.

Andre Gomes is a good player, he's young, versatile and offers a range of passing we lack to be honest. Not my first choice, but a fantastic footballer, he has a beautiful right foot tbh. Barcelona ruined him a bit IMO.

Saw a stat earlier saying only Thiago has a better dribble success rate than this guy in the Bundesliga this season. With Dembele on the way out it would make sense for us to be targeting a strong ball carrier to take his place in the squad. Sissoko is more of a transitional ball-carrier than a press-breaker like Dembele so would be good to get that attribute back into the squad. Grillitsch certainly seems to have that in his game.

YouTube videos I’ve seen show a decent range of passing with both feet, good close control and ability to take the ball on the half turn and carry it forward. Also, as seems to be standard for a Spurs Cm, can’t seem to finish.

The video focussed a lot on his long passing into the flanks from deep. Makes me think this guy is more Carrick than Dembele (style not quality).

Yeah he doesn’t score many at all.

From the videos his long passing looks to be a strength. Could be handy for a nice switch of play in a 433.

It seems like he’d be one to play at the base, but if you’re going to play there then you have to be defensively sound. If you’re gonna play more advanced then a better contribution goals and assists wise is probably needed.
