For West Ham's first season at the London Stadium, their first home games were against Bournemouth, Watford, Southampton, Boro, Sunderland and Stoke to give them time to ensure security and safety measures were operating properly. Arsenal in December was the first 'big' match in the PL although they had played Chelsea in the League Cup. There were numerous problems which had to be resolved concerning the home fans in those opening games.

Surely, the PL will follow a similar policy when drawing up the opening games at the NWHL next season.

I reckon we could have beaten Chelsea at home last year had we have played them nearer Christmas. The new WHL might not feel like home to the first team until a few matches in.

Since we're not playing at home on the first day of the season it will be Liverpool, 100%, im definitely not guessing.

Well obviously they didn't - Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea as 3 of the first 4 opponents at NWHL.
