Tottenham look almost certain to play their first home game of next season at Wembley after striking an agreement to cover them in case their new £850million stadium is not finished in time.

Yes it will but if you actually read the article it says the first 3 games will be away, plus the 3rd round of the caraboa cup, then a home game may be played at Wembley, after which we will move into the new stadium.

The premier league would hardly have a problem with it, as if they had their way, there would be prem fixtures played all around the world.

The FA will be desperate for cash now it seems Chelsea will not be moving to Wembley any time soon, so they'll be glad of any extra fixtures.

But the article suggests we need the support of the other clubs too.
And Levy has been a bit cheeky here, (if we are delayed), as he has always said the stadium will be ready in time and that is even his position now.
We have not had any obvious setbacks , so as a chairman of another club I'd want to know why this has suddenly come up with just a few weeks before the new season.
If the article is right, Levy is bouncing this option through when no-one has time to object or consider the limits of such a request. ie if another club suddenly found out their ground would not be ready until xmas, is it reasonable they too could move in late?

And if it has been well know that some fixtures would be played at Wembley, it was a bit cheeky that they have sold tickets to games on the understanding they would be at NWHL.

Hopefully there is nothing to this story.
