I'm more positive than I was a week ago, as said really feel for MJ, but Ramos comes with a great reputation, I'm praying our daft board leave the bloke alone to do his job. If this whole mess has taught the board a much needed lesson, maybe we can start to go somewhere as a club.

i just want to get the season back (if it ever was) on track so i dont have to hear rubbish like "west ham are a bigger club than spurs coz we are above you" from the wet spam know nothings!!

I'm definately more positive. Ramos comes accross as a Sir Alex type which is what Spurs need. With Hughton gone aswell the whole atmosphere in training etc should be different- hopefully for the better. With Jol I dont think we were really expecting a change - some occasionally excellent football yes but still letting in silly goals and rarely being able to make a comeback - We will defo see a change now.

Ramos comes across as a top coach, which Sir Alex isn't. I'm rather hoping he will be a Wenger/Mourinho type.

Yeh well everything you read about Juande seems spot on from winning loads of things through attacking football to a no nonsense approach to training .

yeh , I'm like a broken record , but I'll say it one more time .

For an unsuccessful club , in the relegation zone , with a tiny ground.....to get one of the best coaches in the world...

....WELL DONE OUR BOARD

I liked Jol and am sad that things went the way they did, yet after almost every game this season I was disgusted with the way the team played and wanted him out in the heat of the moment. At the end of the day you can't sack a whole squad of players for underperforming so the manager must carry the can for failing to motivate/prepare them. I also think that Ramos seems like the type to actually prepare tactics for individual teams, whereas Jol seemed to take the Football Manager route of using the same tactics week in week out no matter what opposition, picking what was simply the best team on paper. The only times I remembr him making tactical adjustments were for games against Man Utd in his first year and Chelsea 3-3 last year, other than that we were very predictable and somewhat limited due to his tactical naivety.

In other words I am seriously optimistic about the rest of the season under Ramos, especially after having seen the training pics on the Official Site, though it did take a few days for the bad taste in the mouth of Thursday night to disappear.

I'm with the "possibly too positive for my own good" crowd. it seems we have the tools for the job in hand, just need a skilled craftsman to wield them. Ramos seems to be that man. time for another dose of the spurs transitional tonic but with a more positive effect I hope.
