It's only a snapshot, but I want to know if today you're feeling generally more positive, less positive or unchanged towards our prospects, compared to the way you felt this time last week.

The same for me. We knew Ramos was gonna make it here eventually, the big question is how much difference he will make. We know as much as we did last week in that respect.

Yeah, more positive. Yesterday was a right kick in the nuts but I keep trying to persuade myself to write it off as an inbetween managers game. As soon as we get out of the bottom three, i dont think we'll drop back in. A win against Boro is imperative, as is a win against Wigan. a battering of blackpool would do our morale a world of good.

More positive. The Jol fiasco was horrible and I feel for the guy, but Ramos is head coach now and he's a bloody good one I reckon. I did understand the doubts about Jol's ability to win the really big games and hopefully this is a guy capable of it.

Let's put this few months of shit behind us now, wish BMJ all the best and get behind Ramos.

Wish MJ had a website so I could leave the guy a message!

positive for sure.

New faces, new ideas, new methods.

And Ramos comes with a bit of a reputation for not respecting reputations. Precisely what we need.

And he comes in with a run of winnable games, with the boards full backing. I think we may well see a different board, as I think they will give Ramos more respect, and trust more in him that he knows what he's doing, because of his impressive CV. Therefore I think (and really hope) that they leave him alone to get on with his job, his way.

The players will be in no doubt who is in charge very quickly I would imagine.

A win and a clean sheet, even against Blackpool, will give us a massive boost.

Same. Defer til end of january. How hamstrung are we going to be by our current squad? How diplomatic will our new leader be concerning DC's input/output?

Don't believe outcome of season will change much. Some good/great performances balanced with abject tripe. No cups, narrow miss on Europe. Next season can't come soon enough. Suspect we will actually 'launch' next season....can we then fly? Only if there is a complete overhaul....back to first point. January?

Very positive because

1. Underperforming players will be axed
2. He will create more plays for Lennon (he will surely get the most out of Lennon's raw pace)
3) Feeling that Dimi's days are numbered. Bye ! thanx for the memories. Your teammates won't miss you!

less positive, another 3 points gone and the team didn't respond at all to the pressure of Jol finally being put out of his misery, gonna be a long hard season ahead.

I disagree with this. By all accounts I thought our key players woke up for one of the first times this season. Berbatov and Lennon were much much better - and the team came out of the traps much quicker than usual.

Wait 'til Juande gets hold of 'em. You'll see.

However, my aching Jol-shaped heart means I am "The Same". (But always sneakily positive).

Agreed - and the thoughts of the Hudd puffing his cheeks after Ramos substitutes Jenas (and doesnt replace him) with 30 mins still to go has put a smile on my face.

Hopefully we will get a “new manager bounce” which will lift us out of the relegation zone, but results will then drop off again. After that any short term improvement depends on the January window and Ledley’s powers of recovery.

Medium term I think we have taken a step backwards. Jol knew the club, he knew what he was trying to achieve on the pitch and knew what signings we needed to make that work. Ramos will be building from scratch. Even if Wendy is all he is cracked up to be, the change of direction is going to set back our progress by a couple of years.

But ultimately nothing is going to change until the Board learn to trust the manager more in football matters (or we sign a more effective DoF).

Jesus, i would have thought that we would all be feeling positive.

Yes we all loved MJ (and he loved all of us ), but Ramos has taken a mediocre team and one back to back UEFA cups as well as the Spanish cup. Also he has taken them quite far up the league.

Did he do this with a team of top star players - no. In fact it could be easily argued that we have some much better players than he did in his first UEFA cup winning season with Sevilla.

Ramos will turn things around, will he do it quickly enough for us to qualify for Europe via league position - it will be a tough ask, but i expect that we have every chance of a cup this season.

More positive...if the language barrier doesnt prove too much of a problem. I didnt want BMJ to go, but if he did, Ramos is the one to take us forward. He is a strong character...lets see how the relationship with DC goes...???...

Why do you think that we need to sign players so depseratley??? We have improved the squad since last season - a season where we lost in the UEFA cup q's to the winners (and our current bosses former team) and where we had good runs in other cups and finished 5th in the league.

We even managed most of last season without King.

There is no way we have taken a step backwards by employing one of the world's best coaches.
