personally i thought holtby would have been a great fit for poch's philosophy. great engine, good passer, its a shame we couldnt see what holtby could become.

Am I getting my timelines messed up or didn't Holtby have his chance under Poch?

All bark no bite anyway. Not a poch player imo

Jeans.

High energy and seemed to want to learn.

Ziege and Carr- attacking fullbacks with decent pace and with real end product. Perfect for Poch.

Steffen Freund, Michael Brown, just for work-rate alone, but limited in their ability. Jenas is a good shout as he never took his game to another level, I think Ponch could have done that for him. If he could have got into the head of someone like Mido he could have been a special player, when he decided to try he was pretty handy

Holtby had a great engine, but the fuel tank was too small.

Probably get shot to bits but I think Zokora's athleticism would have been well used in a pressing style.

Nick Barmby would have benefitted I think.

And, perhaps controversially, sergei rebrov. No long balls hoofed 10 foot in the air. Played to his feet I think he'd have been a cracking player.

After watching the mess we had at times last season, I am surprised Holtby and Siggy were the ones that were sold as both were good off the pitch and offered something on it. I am surprised they were not Poch type players.

The biggest player who should have been a star but never was is Dalmat. 2 Footed and crazy skills....shame we only saw a brief glimpse of it before he sparked O'Hara

Widening the context to players of OTHER teams, I put forward Wayne Rooney of the last couple of seasons. Watching England a match or two ago (can't remember who it was against) it was quite hilarious watching the (4?) Spurs players & Rooney pressing all over the pitch and the rest of 'em dropping off as per (England) usual.
