Plzen vs Dinamo first out of the hat.

So glad we didn't drop into this.

Inter got Rapid Wien. Vienna's a nice place but I'm much rather Dortmund, tyvm.

So glad we aren't in this competition. No matter how they try and improve the Europa League it is never interesting until the final.

Chelsea got Malmö, should be easy tie for them.

Lazio v Sevilla is tasty as f*ck.

Arse get BATE. Long trip to Belarus and a reunion with Alex Hleb, but they'll win that easy.

Apparently Arsenal can't play on the Thursday night because Chelsea will also be at home on that day and the police would raise issues. And can't play at 8pm on the Tuesday or Wednesday because it would clash with English teams CL games and breach the TV contract. So they get the 5pm on Wednesday slot

Good old Thursday night.

Funnily enough, I'm really nostalgic about the Europa League because of the things that were happening in my life around the 2012/13 season.

Anyway, Lazio Vs Sevilla could be an interesting one (albeit, not the glamour-tie of yester-year for these two).

That could have been us facing Rapid Vienna, thank fuck we're still in the CL, we wouldn't be having nights like last night for example

I used to think it wasn't so bad once it got to the knock out stages because the quality of the teams improved. But looking at that its pretty awful. Thankfully we aren't involved in it. Although if we were I'd want to take it seriously and win it.

It'll probably be a lot better in a couple of years time, since they're reducing it to 32 teams rather than 48 and there'll be far fewer teams from the smaller nations involved. But hopefully we'll be in the Champions League still regardless.
