I would think it would be very funny if Sven went to Chelski and led them to two thrashings of City next season (assuming they don't win the league of course, never want that to happen).

Maybe Thaksin would see the error of his ways if that happened.

Absolute madness. How the Premierleague ever let that clown take control of one of our nation's football teams I'll never know. I feel a little sorry for Man City fans at the moment. At least we'll probably be able to pinch a few of their talented youngsters from under the oh so knowledgable ones nose.

Got to love that Noel Gallagher has decided to publically take the piss out of Thakki over this decision.

What a joke. Sven has proved at Citeh he is a top club manager and will probably now end up at a top club in Spain or Italy. This is just one reason why i dont want my beloved Spurs to be sold to some foreign nob jockey, im very happy with the way the club is run by DL.

He proved he's a top club manager long ago. Given City's recent record, he's done incredibly well to get them to a top ten spot.

I spoke to my brother-in-law about this earlier and he's absolutely incensed. And if Frank Shinawatra thinks he's going to get anyone comparable to Sven in after this, he's mad. No-one in his right mind is going to take the job.

Oh, I don't know. There's going to be a big compensation pay-out after a season. Or even half a season.

That's what happens when you get someone who knows zilch about football owning a football club.

City have had an excellent season imo, being round 2nd at chrimbo. Their season only came off the rails a tad following the loss to a 10 man team at home in the Carling Cup. I forget who the opponents were..

Yeah sorry, left out the still a top club manager.. I have always rated Sven even when many turned against him at England. The situation he found at Citeh was similar to that at Lazio. Loads of money to spend at a club that has under achieved. His downfall was obviously his terrific start which obviously got Thaksin thinking of CL which is so far away for Citeh it's untrue, results after xmas get inconsistent but they still finish in the top ten! Mourinho and Rijkaard have been linked there today, a lot of top managers i am sure respect Sven and will not be touching this job with a barge pole

I feel sorry for Sven.

Not sure if it is good news for us. If they get Scolari or i've seen stupid rumours about Jose then it would be bad news for us.. both in any head to head transfer battles and then as a strong team in the league.

My guess is that no top manager would easliy be pursuaded to work under the chairman after actions like this.

Joey Hart
Richard Dunne
Micah Richards
Nedam Onahuwa
Verdam Corluka
Michael Johnson
Martin Petrov
Elano
Benjani

They have the makings of a good team, I would not mind Spurs signing any of the above.

I wouldn't take Onuoha (that's how you spell it) or Benjani and I'd be sceptical about Corluka who seems to be a bit on and off and is certainly not better than Hutton at RB or any of our current CB's when he's been forced to play there.

Also, as Petrov chose City over us for the monies, no thanks.

But Hart, Dunne, Richards, Johnson or Elano, yes please! Add Kasper Schmeichel to the yes list too if he would come down as second choice to whoever we buy.

"Petrov might go to Spurs if Sven leaves Man City"

Quote from a Swedish newspaper that has followed Sven closely this season. I truly hope there's some truth to this!!
