Morning everyone,

Hope you're all well.

This time we have written a piece looking at why Christian Eriksen needs to be more consistent.

"The Dane’s biggest problem is a relatively simple one, however. For the last three seasons, he has consistently failed to be consistent. Last year, his sublime form from Christmas followed a quiet start to the season – admittedly in common with many of his Tottenham teammates – while in 2015-16 he faded in the run-in after an excellent start."

Eriksen needs to add more consistency to his game.

Cheers,

Sam

He's been absolutely immense since last December. If that's not consistent I dont know what is.

Nearly every top player will have a little run of games here and there not at absolute top form.

It's true that he didn't heat up until November last year and I thonk if he maintains that form throughout the season it would really solidify his world class status but strange time to bring this up as he's probably in the most consistent phase of his career playing at the highest level he's ever played.

Might be worth avoiding Dan Killy-P from now on guys, these two articles are atrocious.

Add consistency like players like KdB or Coutinho?

I admit I've not clicked the link and read the article, but come on, is there a more consistent playmaker in the league?!

Eriksen has probably been our most consistent player (along with Kane) for at least a year. Bit of a strange article.

Dan Kilpatrick might want to actually try watching Eriksen and spurs play, rather than repeat a tired and 4 year old opinion of a player.

Eriksen has been excellent for 2 seasons now, and has been transformed from a clever young creative player, into a tireless key playmaker by Pochettino.

Eriksen was fine at the start of last season. Certainly one of our better workers and kept to Poch's gameplan perfectly. When his teammates lifted so did his end product. This article is a year out of date imo.

It's strange, prior to these two articles I really enjoyed reading Dan's stuff and listening to him on The Tottenham Way podcast. But, in my opinion, he is well wide of the mark on both of his pieces for FW.

His insistence that Pochettino was telling a white lie and that he changed my mind, not that he didn't want to put pressure on the kid, was particularly baffling.

Yeah, well Kilpatrick's biggest problem is a relatively simple one. He lacks consistency.

To be more precise, according to the OP and the article:
"he has consistency failed to be consistent."

Bet he thought that was a proper potent, hard-hitting piece of copy. No offence to Football Whispers as I actually think they've produced some good articles, but this guy hasn't got a clue and his writing is boring.

Agreed, quite a few of them I've thought are good.

I dug out Eriksen while we had our Autumn slump last season as he was far from his best, but since December there hasn't been a better player in the league, and he was comfortably the best player on the pitch on Sunday. Baffling to write such a piece now on the back of 9 months of consistently strong performances.
