Empty Seats/Wembley Atmosphere

Let’s be honest, had we not managed to blow two results from winning positions the remaining home CL fixtures would be sell outs. It’s difficult to attract supporters to wembley at the best of times, but for what could effectively be dead rubbers is an even bigger ask.

Totally agree with @southlondonyiddo re giving away tickets to local school kids etc. I know we used to do that for EL matches at the Lane so why should this be any different.

I’m also a firm believer that if the football was more entertaining with a higher tempo the crowd would naturally be more enthused to a) endure the Wembley ball ache, and b) create more atmosphere. Our football at home has been very dull so far this season barring Barca.

I went to Cardiff and the style of football and lack of atmosphere on what was a chilly damp day really p*ssed me off.

I decided against City when I saw the lack of ticket sales given my son's away this week. I also decided not to suggest the game to a dozen South Korean business people I've been hosting this week, as I didn't want to have to explain the empty seats and Son being benched. Only to discover yesterday that half of them went on Monday evening despite the jetlag. Then I had to explain to them why I didn't go and why so many regulars can't be bothered to go a few more stops on the tube to watch their team. They hear a lot about how fanatical English fans are but this confused them.

They not only bought Club Wembley tickets but also spent £100 or so in the shop each and all bet on Son to be the first scorer at 8/1 before realising he wasn't actually starting. While I scratched my ars* on my sofa swearing at Trippier.

It's still football Jim, but not as we knew it

ps I was so glad we were up north yesterday because they wanted to go to West Ham as well, jeez

Has anybody else tried to get tickets for the Wolves game? They are on general sale but the whole stadium is greyed out saying no tickets available. You can still get tickets for the Burnley and Bournmouth games. I just cannot believe that there are no seats. I have my ticket but wanted to take three mates! If its sold out the atmosphere should be electric.

I've only been to the Barca game this season. I've been banking the rest of them. Mentally and pragmatically i was done with Wembley after that draining final game and the team's lap. It's a shit stadium in a shit area, and there's more tourists and away fans around me than yids.

And if I had to listen to the fat **** sat behind me, moaning on one more game I'd have gone mad.

Easy win during the festive season would be to give out free tickets to schools in the area. Win, win, as you potentially add some young blood to the supporting ranks and then they always make a racket! It is Christmas after all.

All they have to do is offer some sort of concession for a match or something.

They could start by actually sending out my membership pack.

There was definitely a large school children presence at the Southampton game, I was surrounded by them, Whether they were free and/or from the area, I couldn't say, but they are already doing something to bump up attendance.

Doesn't help the atmosphere though. And doesn't exactly make it better when someone who's never been before tells you to sit down.

Yeah, fair dos and completely understand, just looking for positives and most people seem to have already decided whether they will or won't go to Wembley now. So may as well show some Christmas spirit to some kids who may not get a chance otherwise. Hey ho ho ho.

Its bloody shite, I only went today because i had flights and a hotel booked for a possible return to WHL, so i was committed. I'd only be back this year at Wembley if its for the Arsenal match. Its just a rotten place, unless its against the top sides in terms of atmosphere etc. It just isn't home.

Anyone recommend me any sites where I can get tickets for the Wolves game at Wembley? Can’t believe we’re restricted to 51000 . Not surprised all tickets sold out within 24 hours of general sale. I only want one but don’t want to pay club Wembley prices which are the only tickets I can find available

I hate Wembley, I hate Wembley Park Station, I hate the looooooong walk up to the stadium, I hate having to queue in the pissing rain to get back to the station after the game, I hate the monstrous prices of poor quality food and drink inside the stadium, and I hate the lack of atmosphere for most games.
