Babawo further disclosed Yahaya is expected to join Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo in September after his training stint with Spurs.
So what's it all about then?

It's a good thing for him to hone his ball skills in the slower pace of the Spanish game.

First and last time we'll likely ever hear or read his name. Same old.

Actually I think you might just be wrong there. From the little I've seen, I'd say we've managed to catch ourselves a nice little diamond in the rough with him. He might just live up to those comparisons to Iniesta with the proper coaching and development. I definitely think he's one to keep an eye on.

This went through during last season, watched him a little and looks a prospect.

As a Nigerian Yid I am really excited at this. To be honest I'd even prefer Pochettino to play him since he knows how to play youth. I don't want another Coulibaly situation. This dude can play and is better than Kelechi Iheanacho the player Manchester City snapped up from the same tournament.

Nice to hear. Would be great to hit on one these promising yoof players. Other than Bale, who wasn't exactly unknown, we've seemed to miss more than hit.

I was pretty skeptical too, until I stumbled upon a compilation of his "best hits" via Youtube.
The kid definitely possesses talent. That prompted me to research him some more, and after a series of clips, a couple of random scouting profiles, and some news reports, here is the take:

He has allegedly just turned 17, and apparently we have a 4-year contract waiting for him to sign once he turns 18.
According to one of the articles, he was here (with his dad and junior team coach) mid-February to sign a preliminary contract pending a successful routine medical outcome.
We supposedly beat Ajax, Shitty, and others to his signature.

He has been called "Iniesta" by his teammates ((with whom he had won the U17 World Cup)) for years now, due to his abilities to dribble past opponents, pick out a smart pass, and create clear-cut scoring chances.

Position-wise, he is somewhat of a hybrid between a left winger and a central play-maker.

Here are some statements from mates and coaches pertaining to Musa Yahaya, along with a couple of select news article quotes I found across the web -->>

"...This taciturn nature, a profound modesty and humility, are qualities often associated with Spain’s Andres Iniesta, the man Yahaya’s mates can’t help but compare him to. Mostly though, Yahaya is like Iniesta because he can tear defences apart in a split second. He can score from distance, or send in a killer ball from deep. He can dribble past you like you’re not even there."

"...Yahaya is a hard player to define simply. He exists somewhere between a traditional playmaker and a deep-lying striker. His assists have been crucial to Nigeria’s success in reaching the quarter-finals, but so have his goals."

((these last ones are his own statements, just an FYI))
I like to score....but the role of playmaker, just behind the strikers, is something I love. I love to have the ball at my feet and to look up and play my mates in with a pass.

Finally, if you're still not convinced, here are some of his highlights, as follows:

He is only 16, his date of birth is 16th December 1997, as per Fifa.com and the beginning of the video.

Excellent work. Thanks a lot for all that info mining. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Seems to have an excellent chance anyway.
