I've seen something mentioned online previously but I can't seem to find it.

I will be giving up my Season Ticket at the end of the season, after 16 years but want to downgrade to a membership. Do the club offer the option to do that in the closed season, enabling me to keep my loyalty points. Or will they shaft me completely and make me start over again?

Terrific!

'Thanks for the years of loyalty and bundles of cash, we shall have those points back now, don't let the door bang on the way out'
Some seasons it’s been the only reason I kept stumping up...

Don't know if it would interest you but there are several groups out there on social media where you could sell the season ticket for the season so at least then it's still going if you change your mind.

Shaft you?

They're different things, the loyalty points aren't transferrable in either direction.

You can always buy an ST then sell each game through the spurs site (i think they are doing that with the new stadium - if its ever built)

That way you keep the ST and make your money back

I did it with Stub Hub a couple of seasons back - some game you make your money back some you dont and some you make extra - all offsets each other but not sure how the new system works

I might be wrong but I think now that the ticket exchange system has moved back in-house, you can only sell the game from your ST if it's a sell out. I've got that in my head from somewhere but I could be talking bollocks as I've never done it

You are most likely correct but i would hedge a bet that the majority of the games will be a sell out. If what youre saying is correct you may be out of pocket in the event some games arent sold out but not by much which in the grand scheme of things for keeping your ST - would be a fair price to pay

I thought the new system.allows you to pass on a ticket to family or friends through the club officially so they can print off a ticket for the game. No doubt there is a fee involved but it may be a way to keep a season ticket and yet give up most games

Dont do this! Just give it up so someone else has a chance!

Membership loyalty points are useless anyway, a ST holder with 1 loyalty points will get an away ticket before a member with 1000.

Especially now that there are more season ticket holders than ticket allocations for big semi finals or finals.

I get your point, but by the same logic a member with 300 LPs will get an away ticket before a member with no loyalty points so they're not entirely useless. Although as thekneaf says above, the massive amount of ST holders now mean fewer chances for members to get tickets to the big away games/cup finals etc. than there would have been previously.
