The takeover thread and the talk of a temporary home in Milton Keynes has got me wondering about whether the stadium needs to be in Tottenham.

So a poll, if a piece of land became available within 10 miles would this be okay to you.

Let's assume it's cheaper, good road and rail links and not south of the river.

It really does depend on where, if we were to move from Tottenham.

Yes I think it matters but if a bit of prime real estate pops up within much better transport links I doubt, after a while, people would be quite as bothered as they might think.

Better transport would be plus, maybe Cain hoy know of such a plot, and that's why the club are pushing the we are committed to the stadium and Northumberland development project.

I'm not from London, but I sense that it's quite important in order to retain a bit of identify within the capital, since teams are most often named after their area.

When City moved from Maine Road it wasn't a problem, because they weren't called Moss Side. Had they been, then moving out of the area you're named after is a bit weird.

That said, Everton don't play in Everton but then they never have.

10 miles is a long way in London. I would make it far more specific than that.

I personally voted 'Yes' to the above, but i would probably consider it if the stadium were to be in the borders of:

North: the M25
South/South West: Stamford Hill Station
South East: Clapton Station to Lee Valley Park
East: Walthamstow / Higham Hill
West: A105

I can't claim to know a massive amount about this kind of thing but to my mind it would just feel wrong for our stadium to not be in Tottenham itself. I'm proud of the fact that we belong there and that we can still lord it over them twats down the road in that whether they are more successful than us or not, it doesn't matter cos they don't belong in North London, they never will and as a result that makes them a sham of a football club.

If we move, then we're arguably no better than them and they will effectively own North London as a result. Booooo.

If we moved out of Tottenham to the borders of Essex or Herts then it would be a case of the pikeys pushing out the locals, that I could not stand, it would mean they've won, the cuckoo kicking the rightful chick out of the nest!!!!

Yes it needs to be in Tottenham.

The situation cannot be compared to Manchester or Newcastle etc. London is a different type of city, being made up of many villages and towns that have been swallowed up over the years by the ever growing metropolitan area.

And it can't be compared to the Arsenal situation either. They relocated their club back before the football league was fully formed, and before football was followed in the tribal sense that it became post-war.

I can not believe this poll is close as it is... Honestly makes me wonder on the mentality of those who voted No....

YES we have to stay in Tottenham...Why? Our history is there... I live in south london, always have, and i enjoy the inconvenience of travelling to tottenham, its always been part of my experience.

I can only think people voted for a move away because it is easier for them and not whats best for the club?

I dont understand you NO voters! Im finding it hard to relate to you!
