A lot of people have been moaning about us starting with Dier and Wanyama in the middle recently. Here is their answer.

We need to find a long term replacement for him ASAP. He's prone to injury and we don't/won't tick properly without him. Winks is a good back up but not yet the answer.

I think Winks may be exactly the answer.

No he doesn't have the strength of Dembele but his passing his far superior and he's also started to jink past people more often.

Dembele is a unique player, but I think Winks is rapidly becoming a very dependable understudy.

That said, I would like to see Dier permanently moved to centre back, so I think there's room in the squad for another central midfielder alongside Wanyama, Dembele and Winks.

Dembele and Winks have different skill sets. Dembele carries the ball, shrugs off opponents with ease; while Winks moves the ball quicker, can spot a opponents in good positions, passes a longer ball. Each adds to the team.

The injuries have been really bad this season. Such a contrast to the season before, which makes our achevement of finishing 2nd ever greater!

Winks will fill in for Dembele well enough, if he recovers fully from that severe injury that is.

think that Barkley will be bought this summer. Assuming we play 3 at the back (with Dier in that group), the midfield 2 will be from:
Dembele, Wanyama, Winks and Barkley.
Ross can also cover on the right forward position if Lamela has trouble returning to full fitness.
