Following scans and clinical assessment, we can confirm that Dele Alli has suffered a hamstring strain.
The injury forced the England midfielder to be substituted in the closing stages of Sunday's 2-1 win at Fulham.
Dele will now undergo a period of rehabilitation with our medical staff with the expectation of returning to training in early March.

I'm very confident our academy kids are ready to step up.

A demanding 17/18, little to no rest with long WC runs, a crazy busy Christmas schedule, very little squad rotation.

These injuries were more than likely to happen.

Surely somebody could have anticipated this. Makes the zero summer signings even more baffling.

Fail to prepare and all that.

Who? Sign who? Who could we sign that would fit our style of play, would be within our budget and that the manager would sanction?

Apparently noone in the world meets all these criteria.

Which I find somewhat surprising.

Fair. Hindsight and all that.

But we have been linked with plenty of players by our ITK. Seem to have missed our chance on Werner, De Jong and De Ligt.
We have to get in before a names pops and all the Barca/PSG etc want in.
Would have welcomed Maddison or Brooks. Our bench has been so poor recently. They could have stepped up as injury cover and heavens forbid Eriksen leaves this summer we'd have had a potential heir. Poch could have worked wonders with them.

I guess the biggest problem ultimately however is with your reasoning, we are not a big enough winning club, prepared to pay big enough fees to attract players that will make us better. So sod it, we all give up.

The key criterion is that the manager wants the player and that is what's causing a lack of signings
Well, if the only players Poch ones are ones we can't or won't get, then we aren't going to move forward, which simply isn't viable.

That's not what I'm suggesting at all. I'm suggesting that we have faith in the process the manager is following. It doesn't mean someone has to be at fault. I can't accept that Levy is not saying to Poch we have money if you want it. It seems far more likely Poch is saying "no, I don't want these players that are available on the market right now"

It's easy to say we should and could have signed X, y and z but actually the manager has said he wants to dip into the academy and to only buy if they are better than what we have. Brooks,Madison and even Malcolm are not improvements on our first team. They would be squad players. Squad players who would take the opportunities for other squad or youth players more deserving.

We can't get right now. Those targets may be available in the summer

Sure.
Although if we have a youth player more deserving than Brooks right now, he should be starting every week atm.

At the rate our players are failing to injury, we could end up bombing out of the cup competitions and struggle to stay in the top 4.

I can't believe there isn't one player in the entire world who would be a better back-up / fit for our system up top than Fernando Llorente. Poch runs Kane in to the ground because he clearly doesn't want to start Llorente up front at all.

Odd that we keep peddling this notion out.

At least all of these injuries have occurred during the transfer window so we can buy a replacement.

Oh, wait, it’s us ☹️

I’m sure that Levy and co aren’t trying to sabotage our season, but they’re sure doing a fantastic job of it anyway! Hard to see any realistic chance of us winning anything or finishing in the top four at the moment.

It's not peddling a notion, its Pochs choice. It may be right, it may be wrong but it's the way he's choosing to operate.

It could be that he saw Jansen or GKN as second choice options and they have failed in his eyes and now he's not prepared to go down that route

Appparently Piątek is moving from Genoa to AC Milan in a 35mil euro deal and will be on roughly 40k a week. Surely our scouts are aware of one of the biggest striking talents to have emerged this year and could have put in a bid that would trump Milan's in both fee and wages.
Just a thought.
