Dele Alli was at his cheeky best in Tottenham’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester City – with not one but two outrageous pieces of skill catching the eye.

I'm sorry but Alli has become an ineffectual show pony, very rarely does he have any end product now, he offered nothing on Saturday.

Surprised by your post as normally agree with a lot of what you say but think you're being quite harsh.
He's had injuries and may be going through a poor spell. It happens.
But he's quality and we're lucky to have him.

I love that we have Dele Alli, at a time when we were under pressure he isn't overawed by the occasion, he showed the skill and belief to demonstrate we could match City and aren't going to lie down. A bit of calm and unbelievable skill that shows we could match City's flair.

Of course there is more to come from him, but he is clearly a winner.

i actually think that bit of skill in our own half when he beat about 4 men with his tricks gave us a boost and the fans something to cheer when we were under pressure. i don't think we can underestimate the effect that had when we were under so much pressure.

I agree he's quality, I just feel he's not doing himself or his undoubted talent justice. When I watch him I think to myself 'if you just put in another 10% of effort you would've won that ball or beaten that defender!' I just find him frustrating to watch.

He may not want to fly about into unnecessary challenges and get injured like HK.
