Is it just me, or does Dele seem even more mischievous and jovial than he even normally does atm?

He looks mentally refreshed after some of his struggles last season. His game on the weekend was the game of someone who had dropped the shackles of pressure and demand to perform, and a return to his carefree self who sometimes looks like he's having a kickaround with his mates, but in front of 10s of thousands of people.

It bodes well for us imo. He plays his best football when he's in that headspace, and the weekend was a good example, where i thought he was excellent. Looking forward to watching him this season.

Could it have anything to do with last year being a World Cup year and the pressure to make sure he he not only made the team but played well? Hope so as I hope it has enabled others in our team to step up a level in their games

Why?? Announcement is purely at the discretion of Dele/advisors and the club. You’re not going back to the plc listing rules are you?

The best time to have announce it would have been this week. Given the stadium concerns but also paired with this whole Dele Challenge thing. If he has signed a contract and they didn't announce it, the club has really missed a trick.

Quite possibly but imagine the cynicism on here!

Why would be hold it back after the media shit storm of not signing any one and announcing the stadium delays. No way he has signed a new deal.

Quality little tweet that sums up how well he's started the season. I love that he's back to getting frustrated (see: fucking angry) when people don't see or pick out his back post runs. He looks hungry and just mentally fresh atm.

I'm so glad to see Dele back to playing at his cheeky best with those those flicks and nutmegs.

What's nice is that he's seemed to better differentiate when to try those and when there is a quick, simple, effective move as well. He's been really impressive through 2 games. Hopefully he can continue to build on these performances.

Crazy that all this eye nonsense has probably done more for his worldwide brand awareness, than anything his agent has thought up in 3 years.

Yep, not just him. Spurs have benefited too. I live in New Zealand and a 15 year old girl that I teach who has no interest in football asked me if I could do the "eye thing". When I mentioned that it was Dele Alli's celebration she knew who he was and that he played for Spurs.

Its popped up in cricket as well. KL Rahul did it the other day.

This will definitely generate a little bit more interest about Spurs in India.

Yeah, I teach geography in Taiwan and had some 8 year old students asking me if I could do it on Wed!

Even Neymar's got in on the act although Jesse Lingaard thinks he did it first.

Just read on Harry Hotspur site what a c..t what a fool what a waster what an idiotDele is
My god a harmless piece of fun can ignite a hatefest led by Harry Hotspur
It is quite clear you must always be deadly serious and definitely not have a bit of fun
God forbid if you are caught laughing
I really do not have time for anyone who advocates that you must not have lighter moments in your mundane world
