Playing as a support striker - basically the position he played in in 2016/17.

Would have thought that he'd be starting to transition to play in a 4-3-3 by now but his touch is too loose and he takes too long to make a decision on the ball, that's what the management need to work on in the summer going forward because I feel that he can be a brilliant player playing as a 3rd CM

He needs more coaching that’s for sure. Something for them to work on in preseason with him hopefully 100% fit from injury. Hopefully he plays no part in the England games. It’s there where he seems to do a lot of damage.

The rest will do him good, more competition for places will bring the best out him as is Ultra competitive.

I think our diamond suited him and DESK best. He was playing effectively when we went on our mid-season scoring tear until THAT Pickford tackle Everton (a).

Next season:
Kane Son
Dele
Lo Celso Ndombele
Winks

adios Eriksen :(

People have insanely short memories here. Around the the time of the Arsenal league cup match and when we were trouncing Everton 6-2 he was playing really, really well. He'd finally shook off the WC hangover and hamstring injury and was getting back to his best.

Then he got injured against Palace, was rushed back and never looked the same in the 2nd half of the season.

I do agree that there was question marks over how he fits into our new-look side next year, given there will be changes, but I still have no doubt of his quality and that he will come back strong.

Fulham just after scoring but yes, agree top post.

May have said this before, but Poch has to earn his money on this one and get the best out of an obviously very talented player.

That said, the 19/20 season will (hopefully) be a fresh start for everyone at the club in so many ways.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alli is going full-throttle by October.

A quick right-back and a fit Kane would also help him do this (y)

when eriksen leaves, i would like to see him at the 10 behind kane, more as a supporting striker than amc. i think he will flourish

For me, assuming we get our main midfield targets, I'm not sure this wouldn't be better

----- Son ---- Moura
---------- Kane

Lo Celso --- Ndombele
---------- Winks

Maybe it's because my recent memory of him is only when he's half fit, but I'm increasingly of the view that Kane is better having a more free role, to play as he sees fit, and allow his (excellent) passing game to put others in space, as well as popping up in the box when the time's right.

As an isolated front man, I think he can struggle. He's obviously not alone in that, but if you have proper pace you can run the channels better and be more of an outlet.

Not sure where that leaves Dele, as he becomes in almost direct competition with Kane in the structure above

Seems like Dele has been having a bit too much fun.

If pre season starts next week, he might still be hungover.

It’s obviously a bit of a non story 23 yr old gets drunk to point of passing out on holiday. However for me it does show a slight indication towards attitude. Would Kane or Sonny do it most likely not as they have dedicated everything to get that extra 1%. Its Dele choice if he wants to maximise every possible drop of potential out of his body or not. The impression I get is he has slightly got caught up in the showbiz side of things. Maybe not drastically but maybe enough to take 5% off his game. But the lads 23 and does have a very marketable image so it’s understandable.

The problem is nowadays that his peers and competition are not doing that. Its one of the reasons why the players are so well rewarded. If you're having a beer, what is Hazard or Mane (Random selections) doing?

The thing is if you’re a consistent heavy drinker you’re not gonna get in a state like that. It’s the people who don’t drink very often that might suffer if they overdo it occasionally. I’m sure Poch will be having words with him though.

Not Ideal but hopefully this gives Poch an excuse to give him a kick up the ass and it's perfect timing with Pre-season to be honest.

Probably seeing his place under threat with all the midfielders we are rumoured to be signing and drowning his sorrows.

I joke. He's 23 and is probably a lightweight where alcohol is concerned. Non-story. And front page? Because this is the most important thing happening in the world on 5th July 2019?

Fuck me Sun, new lows.

Well said. I'm not a fan of crucifying these players when they go out on the lash, especially if it's during the summer break, but it's like you say, there are some players who are prepared to forego all the normal vices of a young man to get that extra 1% and then there are others who aren't. Not a criticism of Dele necessarily, that's just not the kind of player he is.

I believe Kane and Son are both teatotallers as well but I can't remember where I've got that from. Read it in an article at one stage probably. Happy to be corrected though. Son even lives with his parents still which probably helps.

Don't see the big deal personally. The fact he probably never drinks would have impacted him massively too - he's on holiday who cares if he has a couple nights. Guarantee there will be far worse out there happening this summer that won't see the light of day.

There is not a single top sportsman that’s reached the absolute pinnacle that isn’t 100% dedicated and made msssive sacrifices. That’s the difference between the very very best and the also rans. Completely up to Dele what choice he makes. It’s why Rooney never got to Ronaldo messi levels.

Kane and Son are two rare players, rarely will you see top pros his age tee total and 100% dedicated to playing football so it's a bit of a unfair comparison to make, we're just lucky we have two of them at our club.

Young millionaire enjoys himself on holiday. Wow.

The Sun up to their usual tricks again, they think moving on from Sterling to a new target will kid everyone.

Scummy rag.
