Not scapegoating here but thought he was the worst player on the pitch last night. What's gone wrong this season?

He's no different than he's always been, he plays poorly for large chunks of a game but then does something very special. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't

He certainly will drift in and out of games, like many players.

We need to sign someone good enough to challenge his automatic starting spot. It would also do him good not to have to play every minute of every game.

He’s had a pretty poor season by his standards really, disrupted by a lot of juggling injuries.

I hope with some rest and coming back fresh next season he’ll get back to his goal scoring ways.

He just plays his own game right now, doesn't seem to follow a tactic. All little flicks and passes into nowhere it's very frustrating. Loses the ball so often and doesn't have the technique and pace to dribble.

I think a benching for a while and having to prove he deserves to start from there would be best for him, as it is half fit and out of form he's been shown that he will still start so why should he push himself? Wrong that he started ahead of Moura yesterday in my opinion, kind of casts doubt on Poch's supposed meritocracy.

We need to sacrifice his goals and assists and put him back in midfield where he has more time. He is such a good player but we limit him to just good attacking side

I disagree, he loses the ball so much that it would be suicidal to have him in midfield. He's not been at the level required to play for us this season. He needs to go back to getting the basics right.

I don’t really know what sort of player Alli is. He isn’t a 10. He isn’t a wide player. He isn’t a centre midfielder. He isn’t a forward.

I’ve never been a huge fan and he has been ineffective for at least 2 years. I think he needs to be pushed hard next season and if he doesn’t step up then I can see him being sold.

He loses it so much cos his usual pass has to be a killer pass going forward. Dropping deeper means he can tick the ball over more and pick better passing options

I agree. He's a senior pro now. Time to be a more consistent contributor.

Ever since he burst on to the scene I described him as a more skilful Tim Cahill.

Just doesn't deserve to be an automatic starter. Yes he can produce moments of magic but he doesn't really do that consistently. But seems to always start when fit?

He does not have the right qualities to play deeper.
