Ok, so we are in for him if JJ's hints are to be believed. My only question is why have we waited this long to get things moving?

Everton managed to sign their captain literally months ago ffs.

Wrong Sanchez

Plus spurs are banking on rose being a sun subcriber so he gets to see it before his massage and dip in the pool

I imagine, because these players wait to see if bigger clubs will come in for them. Once the big boys secure their targets, we can then pounce, and players like Sanchez who maybe have us as their second choice, say ok let's sign.

I'm not saying it's always the case, but it certainly does explain why we do a lot of late deals. Even Poch confirmed this today when he said, the big clubs have spent all their money, now its Tottenham's time to move.

Everton signed their captain but he wasn't a player the big clubs wanted. Whereas the players we want to sign to improve our squad, are in that tier where, they often have bigger clubs than us eyeing them up also.

Yeah, either that or we think waiting till the end of the window will put pressure on the selling club to let him go at a reduced price.

I believe we have tried that tactic once or twice in the past, with mixed results iirc.

I tell you what I won't be doing....watching youtube player videos.

I swear every time I watch a video of a player I haven't seen much of, the transfer suddenly becomes "dead"!

Who knows how far this might be. The Son deal came out of the nowhere and moved very quickly but we were probably working on it all summer. It is not necessarily a matter of leaving it late but just taking time to get deals done when on a budget. I just hope we're close on a few deals and can get them over the line soon enough.

I dont see the point of selling the proven Walker for 50 million to just spend 35 million of that on an unproven replacement.

He's a centre half. Not a like for like for Walker at all. Most likely he'll take Wimmer's spot.

Watched Ajax 6-7 times last season, he is different gravy! This is exactly the sort of deal I can get excited about and fits our profile of signings perfectly.

Haven't had my cock out this window, but looking at this guy - total fucking beast with pace and game + versatility - I'm seriously close.

Just know Levy is gonna carefully craft a deal-collapse somehow, so am uber cautious. Hands stay in pockets. Cock stays in pants.

:grumpy:

After balde i doubt jj would have tweeted if he wasn't sure. Could still f up though. Willian taught us that.

Wimmer spot gets filled by Davies aslong as rose stays. This guy starts at RCB and Dier is first cover for this guy, toby or wanyama

Agree. Agents and other chairmen know they are going to get a hard deal from levy so probably try and see if anyone else is interested first. They know all prem clubs have got money to burn at the moment.
