Rose doesnt have a social media presence like the rest of the squad so hard to issue one quickly I would assume
I know for a fact he uses social media, he uses a different persona...fancy way of saying he uses an account not named Danny Rose

At the end of the day, what Danny has done is given our rivals the upper hand before the season kicks-off.

He goes — we are weaker, and United/City get their man at our expense.
He stays — he won’t play again under Poch/ the club is put under a bad light, discontent/arguments in the squad.

It’s been a tactic all season: Conte, Pep, Mourinho — they’ve all been talking about Spurs and giving an opinion in the press.

Why? Because we are the biggest threat to them this season!

Extremely unprofessional no matter the level of truth.
We should be ruthless and send a message: stick him in the reserves for a year without any games and then he misses out on the World Cup. How do you like that?

Need to move closer to home, Danny? Great, you can get your move to Leeds United then

Whilst I understand some of Rose's frustrations, the fact that he has made his opinions public in the incongruous manner he has and so close to the start of the season, leaves him in an almost untenable position. Unfortunately it's difficult to judge the ramifications of our future actions, and what type of predicent they will set. If we keep him, it may suggest that we are willing to tolerate such outbursts. If we sell him, it may offer a solution to other players in our squad who share similar thoughts.

Football is purely about money nowadays. There may be the odd exception (we'd all like to think Kane wouldn't go no matter what, as long as we're competing) but that's just sadly the way it is. £65k a week is a phenomenal amount but the fact is someone not quite as good as him might be getting £150k a week elsewhere. It's nothing to do with trophies - if you were a psychic and told someone you can play for Utd for £200k a week but won't win anything for 10 years, or you can play for Everton for £25k a week and win the PL twice and CL twice etc, they'll still pick the money.

Rose is a **** for doing this. I hope it's fixable because he's such a good player but he should've come out and said he's been misquoted and apologise or something by now.

I know it'll never happen but just once I would love a player to rot in the reserves for the remainder of their contract when they come out with shit like this. I know that could never happen because it's a waste of £65k a week plus all kinds of appeals etc, but just once, if he has his heart set on playing for big money elsewhere, let him train with the kids for 4 years and fine him every time he moans. ****. We only spent £1m on him.

When the Modric stuff happened, it took a few weeks but he came back better and won the crowd over again. Hopefully if Rose stays, he'll do the same. If it ends up with a move abroad then so be it. He has fuck all chance of going to Chelsea unless it's for a ridiculous fee north of £100m and if we're happy to get rid.

I really hope he's been misquoted but the current lack of response suggests not. We'll see.

The worst thing is this will always happen while we pay less than others. Hopefully this will change when we get into the new stadium. It has to. I'd love to win things the way we've been doing it but if the only way we can compete is by some Saudi billionaire taking over, then bring it on. Love Levy but this unfortunately seems to be the only way forward because it's all about the fucking money now. Hate what it's become.

Yes you could be right, wouldn't b surprised if utd or chelski had some involvement with that interview. Football is rotten no more so than the English press.

This all smacks of being engineered. He has been tapped up and will move to Manure next Summer regardless of Spurs winning any trophies.

All about the money
I don't agree it's all about the money, whilst its unlikely he'd want to move somewhere that pays less than us, if he'd gone to Manchester United two years ago he'd ave a pocketfull of medals as well and that is what we are now facing as a club, a team full of players who could be playing at clubs that will win trophies, that wasn't the case until recently.
Like it or not our success has brought different problems to the club and how we deal with it will define our future over the next ten years, we could be massive but not on the wage structure we have now, we might not like it but we can't avoid it, our wages will have to rise more than many of us realise.

A disaster then - Levy has destroyed everything we have been building for in one summer - a truly terrible state of affairs. We will be cutting our nose off to spite our face if we sell him, just as we did with Walker and I fully expect the squad and manager to be fully dismantled by the time we move to the new stadium.

Still think we need to give the club the next two weeks or so to sort this and as I have said previously, if no one comes in or what we do get are shit then the place can go mental and rightly so.
So let them do their business however good or bad it is and judge them on that.

Funny thing is Rose has said nothing that most posters on here haven't been saying for ages.

1) Players can earn more elsewhere
2) We aren't signing big name players
3) We need to win something.

He's also said he's happy at Spurs. Naturally the "explosive" bits have been picked out of that but I'm sure Poch would love to say we need to sign big players and spend money if he wasn't so professional. It's essential we hang on to Rose or we will have lost 50% of the best defence in the league last year (sorry Tripps & Davies you were involved to) and will actually be materially weaker no matter who we sign.

Team wise, yes.
Walker gone.
Rose going.
Other players reportedly think the same as Rose/Walker.
Zero ambition in the transfer market.
Not ONE signing this summer.
A wage structure that isn't sustainable for a top club that wants to compete long term.
Players will leave to get paid more, It's inevitable.
How much longer can we keep punching above our weight?
Signs do not look good.

oh let's just stick to Davies as we did for last season. Couple of months on the bench, cosidering WC is coming next summer, should make Danny reconsider his options.

As I said having read the interview I agree with everything he says. Also no more N'Koudou's they add nothing to us we need to strengthen the squad, by signing players that will compete for the first team, immediately.

IMO the fact there has been no quick public apology speaks volumes.

He's probably still cowering in the corner of Poch's office, hands over head, covering himself from the punches. No chance to do it yet! :ROFLMAO:

Part of me really hopes Poch calls him out in his prezzer tomorrow but I think he'll do what Rose should've done and keep it in house.
