There seems to be a lot of disappointment in here at the thought of not getting Cellabos.
Is he really that good?
I'm really not that bothered if we get him or not because I'm not convinced he's what we need. I'd much rather keep playing Winks who's a similar player by all accounts, and he's homegrown and English which is something we've always prided ourselves on, having a good core of young English players!
Let's tie up Lo Celso bring in Sessegnon and then maybe try and develop some young players we already have.

But then there's the squad depth conundrum! So maybe we should.....ah I dunno.
This transfer window is confusing the hell outta me!
Welcome to our hell. May the Force go with you here!

Seems he fancies walking into Arsenal's midfield rather than fighting for a place here. Tells me what I need to know.
Which is fair enough if he really believes he has a future at RM. he will want more of a definite chance to play, get the adequate experience and return.

At Spurs he will have to earn his place and fight for it on a continued basis, fine if you’re there on a perm and have time, bad idea if your plan is to return to parent club.

Absolutely delighted we're not in the business of giving out a year of Pochettino's schooling and guidance for fuck all in return. That is very much a privilege for only the select few and is exactly how it should remain.

Ah I'm actually used to it, been following for years lurking in the shadows and peeping round the curtains, but now I've decided to put (proverbial) pen to paper and jump head first into the misery while the waters still warm.
It's a rush!

I’m not bothered didn’t see to much to think he’s a upgrade on Lamela or even winks depending on what system and role he would have played

He performs poorly it’s a waste of time, if he stands out and we all love him, Madrid take him back and reap the rewards

Yeah, can't say I care if there's no option to buy come the end of it. Even though the team could benefit from it in some way, it's hard to get excited about a new player playing well when you know that player will most likely only be there for a season.

I'm sure we have other targets and anyone with just the bit of decent ability in midfield on top of Ndombele and Lo Celso would be massive. My main annoyance with this not happening is that as a result he's most likely going to Arsenal.

Can't winner this enough.

We should only want players who come to the club with an attitude to win, not to put themselves in the shop window or manager's mind.

We need more Ndombele style mentalities

Based on this then I'm glad we aren't getting him.
If a permanent move was all we were offering and he didn't want that, then we don't want him!
If arsenal are happy to basically let him use them for a season to get his game time up and then hot foot it back to Madrid next may with a "so long and thanks for all the fish" then that tells us all we need to know.
Next please.

if Lo Celso or a suitable alternative doesn't sign, this transfer window is a failure
Agree, we have a lack of technical players with intelligence in the team. We need to add a lot more to compete with the likes of pool and city.

Fucking LOL at the Woolwich fans all over the socials giving it large about beating us to to this guy.

They're loaning a player for one season to develop him for Madrid. They're basically the Vitesse Arnhem of the PL. We signed one of the best, if not the best, young midfielders in the world permanently. The levels.

If at the end of this window we've somehow pulled Bale and he's at Arsenal... That would be better for us with the last laugh... That's an IF we get Bale

This and the fact that he wants game time to show Madrid and Zidane, what theyre missing. That would require Poch to play him ahead of players who have committed to Pochs project and the club, benefit from Pochs time and abilities and all so that he can go back after a year... this is my personal view...

From an investment pov its not the greatest....
