I really hope that they thronthe book at him. These young players are role models to the up-coming players if tomorrow.

Unfortunately talent comes before any moral issues in today's game. He has shown contempt to the club that has given him the start in the game that many could only wish for and he repays like this.

Yes we have all done foolish things when we were young, but most of us who were not in privileged positions had to face the consequences.

The youth of today understand the power of Social Media more than most.

He admits that his post was disgraceful, just apologising does not really cut it. He obviously does not want to play for Coventry so grant him his wish. Leave him in the reserves.

think he might be drunk, or high or both. i mean... its not like most of us don't say "f this job" or "f my boss" on a regular basis.

at the end of the day... the question is... is he a good player? if he is a potential star, then this will be quickly swept under the rug and forgotten if they can afford to lose him, then he might get terminated.

How much "investigating" really needs to be done here, there's a video of him badmouthing the club, hardly requires calling in the CSI team...

That's the trouble. These absolute nobodies already think they're the fucking mut's nuts by the time they've barely finished going through puberty. IMO the clubs/FA or whoever need to take more responsibility for how these players are being brought up. They lead such sheltered lives in these academies where they're spoiled rotten from a young age and are rich beyond their wildest dreams before their 21st birthday even if they've never even played for the first team. It's ridiculous and it's just a recipe for farming a generation of complete dickheads like Jesse Lingard who still acts like that in his late 20s.

I'm not saying we should go back to the opposite end of the scale where the kids are forced to go through years of bullying by the older players under the guise of some sort of "initiation" but something has to change because it's getting out of hand. I don't really know what the answer is, but an obvious place to start seems like limiting how much younger players can be paid and trying to get them out of the bubble of academy football at least part-time so that they have some sort of grasp on reality.

Coventry seem to have a track record for developing billy big bollocks ****s. Remember what a twat James Maddison was while he was there too.
