Conte says Spence is an absolutely 'perfect prospect' for the club

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has described Djed Spence as a “perfect prospect” for the club. The Spurs boss was speaking about the 22-year-old at his pre-Fulham press conference on Friday. Tottenham signed Spence from Middlesbrough in July.

Obviously Conte knows better than me but I personally would like to see Spence start in place of Emerson but it seems he's 3rd choice behind Doherty.

Hopefully he's the 'perfect prospect' for Conte too. He's the type of player Conte likes at WB so I'm assuming that's a major reason why we went after him.

Not read the article but I thought we were told he was a club signing for the future. Not a Conte signing. Barring injuries I would say that he will not get a lot of game time until he proves and understands Conte ball.

I think he both ought to be and is second choice, ahead of Doherty and behind Emerson.
