Thoughts go out to Andros at this time for missing the World Cup. But this could be a blessing long term for Spurs if he's able to get ready for the new season fresh and wanting to prove something after missing the World Cup.

surprised he has done his ankle, looked like it has his hamstring he was having problems with. Hope its not something he picked up because he stayed out on the pitch.

If anything this is good news for Andros, as it saves him the indignity of not going to the World Cup purely based on the fact that he is no where near good enough.

With the form of Sterling and others he had no chance of playing, he's done nothing to warrant a place aside from one cracking hit on England duty.

Could easily argue Adam Johnson is more deserving of a place than our Andros. Sorry but that's the way I see it :(

Shame for him, but I would be surprised if he was even in Roy's plans. Gone massively off the boil since injury and can't even get in ahead of Lennon who definitely won't be going to the World Cup.

I agree he doesn't deserve to go but I genuinely thought he was going to get picked purely on those 2 games earlier in the year.

Andros had a very promising game against Tblisi, and thats about it this season.

Potential yes, but has to learn hell a lot.

Shame for him, but thats how it goes...

Massively off the boil or hardly picked by Sherwood?

Let's face it, it's no big loss for England (if Roy picked him).

At least he'll be fit for our pre season, that's all I care about

Think you're all being a tad harsh on our boy Andros.
He hasn't had the greatest season, but i don't think our style has been suited to wingers this season. Slow build up and trying to keep possession, coupled with teams sitting deep on us to stop us running at them.

For England, he may not start due to the form of Sterling, but we will play on the break as our possession is so poor and we will see Andros get to play the game his way.

All i can say is I'm gutted for the lad - and hope he comes back fit and strong next season.

IMO at the start of the season he was the only player who showed any form of creative spark in a dull and bland AVB system. Injuries and a change in manager have drastically changed how the season has gone for him and this is just an extension of that. I'm gutted for him but as previously mentioned there are others ahead of him at this time

Some of the comments are typical of Spurs fans just damn right negative.

But theres always 'some'. Mainly I see most people on the money here, put simply, 'AT's not as good as the competition for that place in the squad.'

It's not really negative, just factual, unless you disagree of course. We all wanted him to do well for spurs but, y'know, 1 goal in the league that was a cross.... says it all really.

I agree with a lot of the comments on here, but he's always played better when he dons that England shirt. Reminds me how David Platt was always miles better for the country than for that shithole down the road.

That's cause Platt was winding down his career by then... he was amazing in Italy.
