At home, feeling dejected as I have been battered all day with colleague predictions of a battering.

How are the pubs looking in Tottenham guys? Been delayed so won’t get there till 7 and I’m worried that I won’t get in anywhere?

There are long-arse queues for all of them. That was 25 minutes ago.

@work on big screen with a bunch of colleagues, a fair bit of spurs supporters, but also some dippers. May wearing the jersey signed by Jennings, Roberts and Clemence give me luck!

Got tickets on level 2. Too posh for me but tables and chairs, service, room to rear I could live with that. Mind you not sure if the atmosphere is always like this in fact I know it isn’t

Was a cracking mood and atmosphere in the South Stand after the game, despite the result. However that’s all been undone by Great Northern trains being cancelled so I’ve was faced with either being stranded in London overnight or summoning my wife to wake up our 8 month old son and come and collect me from an interim destination.

Any tips on an appropriate Thankyou present for my wife?

Im in Liverpool for my fecking birthday weekend. If we lose It'll be the worst night of my life and if we win i'll end up getting stabbed.

Got to say the Liverpool fans around me were very classy and respectful. Couldnt hide my emotions very long so the people around me found out pretty quickly.

After the final whistle it was all pats on the back and commiserations and not a single person gloating about it.

I think the internet creates a warped view of how their fans are, they're definitely a bit cultish but that's not really a bad thing. They're generally very nice people and a proper football club unlike City or Chelsea.

Was a horiffic experience of course and couldn't bare heading in to town that evening but overall I have a lot more respect and less hatred for the club than before hand.

Just got back from Madrid and then Malaga and I've got to agree, all of the Liverpool fans were fantastic. Genuinely magnanimous and respectful, always offering a friendly consolation. The only aggro I saw in the entire weekend was spurs fans turning on each other after being in a crush to get into bar Planet Madrid (promised 20 euro entry that turned into 50, queued for nearly 2 hrs, no air-con, screens kept cutting out).

The internet reveals the worst excesses of any clubs most deluded fans and lets them speak the loudest. I love of our club, I'm gutted about the performance / result but proud that both sets of fans drank, sang, partied and consoled together afterwards. But I honestly never want to hear another song from our fans about Sol Campbell or Arsenal ever again- we're beyond all that now surely?!

I agree. Are we really that pathetic that in our first ever CL final away trip and we sing about Arsenal and Sol Campbell - just small time in my view.

There is a thread on here about songs etc - well lets have some songs created about our history and where we are going. I dont like Liverpool at all but one thing I respect them for is that their songs are about themselves not about Everton etc but themselves and their history.

We dont have the history that Liverpool have but we do have history so fuckin sing about that. We could learn a lot from them.
