Nice to see a pundit single him out for praise. For effort alone the guy deserves our patience, but its good to see a glimmer of hope that its not all in vain. We've not scored a goal from distance like that since super Bale and it is exciting.

He is on the up..Lets rest him v Leicester, to avoid any injury, mistakes, bookings, and hope he can build on his Burnley performance in what will be a big game....the sort he might well rise to. Important to keep Walker behind him, seems to have helped spatially. Thats a good word!

Fucking too right. I literally only just got to see the highlights from the Burnley match. Wonderful strike by Lamela.

@jenko suggested lamela's goal was the first long range goal since we had bale.
There's been plenty since, from open play and set pieces. Maybe not as many as bale himself, but plenty none the less.
