I never said it was an excuse.

And given their squad has won two titles in that last 5 years then, yes, they probably have a better squad. They should. It cost about 10 times as ours did.

Which is why I suggest we should have and show a bit more suppor tinto what our squad has and could achieve.

Have IQ's just massively dropped since Ripley went into hypersleep?
If we scrape by till the end of the season they will also have finished below us 3 out of the last 5 seasons. So that could suggest that we are a better squad.

I still feel Eriksen giving way for Moura, leaving him with Lamela and Son as the three behind Kane, we might still have some chances..

Undroppable fucking Eriksen

  • Tottenham have won just three of their 23 Premier League away games against 'big six' sides under Mauricio Pochettino, losing 13.
Sums it all up really.

Does it?

What are the other top6 teams away records vs top6 looking like??

I guess you are being deliberately pedantic, my first reply to you was totally polite and inoffensive but you decided to double down with the tired old sexist bullsh*t of 'girls on their period shouldn't post on SC', but you are obviously deciding to ignore that part.
My last reply was making the point that I'm sure you don't find racism funny in the slightest, but yet you don't have an issue making openly sexist comments, why? I guess It's just 'pc gone mad' to think it's possible to discuss football on a public forum that is supposed to be open and welcoming to all Spurs supporters regardless of gender/race/sexuality without having to resort to insults about any of those groups of people right?

SNOWFLAKE ALERT!! SNOWFLAKE ALERT!!

The fact we haven't freshened up the squad in the last few windows has led to a lack of competition for Ericksen's, Kane's and Alli's positions, the kids coming through are clearly not good enough to put pressure on those three and it has led to stagnation! Now we have the problem of needing to sell and buy too many players in too short a time frame! It's going to be a few more very frustrating years before we make any impact on the money clubs, if we ever will!

Are we all sticking our heads in the sand at the thought of kane getting a 3 match ban?

He probably will, but I think Hazards Elbow in Trippiers face was a red too and isn't being mentioned at all. The media will ensure Kane gets a ban

Let's be honest, we've all wanted to do that to Trippier at some stage this season.

Not sure , think Woolwich is probably worse over last 5 seasons but more worryingly is that Lloris had one shot on target to deal with all game and fluffed it, looked like a 0-0 until we contrived to throw it away..

I think the worrying thing is that Spurs fans are calling for Gazzaniga to play instead of Lloris.

Next we'll be calling for the return of Atouba because Rose/Davies don't try enough skills...

Gazza looks to be far more comfortable than Hugo when it comes to playing the sweeper keeper role that Poch calls for. His control is better and so is his passing. If we're playing against a team that presses high, presses quickly and could really hurt us if they turn over possession high up the field, then there's definitely a case for making a change.

Lol!
What, 'goal-line-Gazza'?
No, he's not! Lloris' speed off his line is a huge strength of his. He is one of the pioneers of the sweeper keeper role.

The couple of punts Gazza did in one game which loosely lead to goals have been blown so far out of proportion its ridiculous. He's reached legendary status. Its like Lloris is currently keeping out a Beckenbauer-Banks hybrid the way some go on here... And yet, Gazza punted passes wildly out of play on a number of occasions in that same game, some attempted longer balls, some easy passes to the full-back, all forgotten though...

It's a bit like having Rachel Riley as your Mrs and lusting after Jo Brand because she's got bigger tits...

He's the England captain so he'll be fine in fact he escaped punishment already I think.

My last post on this as this conversation is of no interest to anyone, even myself, but the fact that you feel justified in making comparisons with racism on the basis of a throwaway ‘don’t be a girl’ comment is truly astounding. There is no equivalence there whatsoever, and bringing racism into this discussion on that basis reflects horribly on you as a human being.

Harry could quite easily have been booked for it which would have been his second but Andre Marriner always bottles big decisions so he’s ok. At least he was showing some fight. Pity Alli and Dier were out. Could have been a good scrap.

While its a very funny post, I have to disagree. Hugo has been leaving the impression that his judgment seems to be flawed. I mean the World Cup final event was not a one off. There were quite a few before and the more apparent ones since.

Gazzaniga is a confident keeper who I believe deserves a fair chance now. He's never let the side down and his distribution is strong.

Firstly, I agree nobody else cares about this discussion but seeing as this thread is pretty much dead I will also make my final comment to your 'final' comment.
Secondly, I find it revealing that you either didn't read or completely ignored my previous post and then manage to accuse me of not being a good human being apparently because I believe, like most people, that sexism/racism are both equally wrong and unacceptable. On the other hand you seem to be of the opinion that one is far more acceptable than the other, hmmm.
You also know very well it wasn't your first comment that was the real issue, it was your second comment that everyone and their dog would regard as blatantly and deliberately sexist. Instead you seem in denial that you even said this and instead try to turn it around/deflect by implying I am the bad guy in this exchange because I dared to call you out? Nah, not having it.
Btw, the fact you dismiss your original comment as 'throwaway' proves the point that misogyny is so ingrained in our society that you don't even realise you are doing it or that those types of 'throwaway' comments can be harmful. People who say 'don't be a girl' are basically implying that girls/females are inferior purely because of their gender = sexism. Of course there are far worse sexist insults out there but it doesn't make it right. Put it this way, there are still people who think 'don't be gay' is a 'throwaway' comment, but would you use such a phrase on a public forum or would you agree that it was homophobic? Just some food for thought, have a good day.
