30 M Eur is the right value for Batshuayi.
Marseille know that and Levy knows that.

If other clubs agree to pay that amount of money (40 M Eur) as West Ham or Chelsea, let it be.

The only thing is that Marseille urgently needed money.
They must have 40 M Euro on their bank account by the 31 th June.

I mentionned in my post the players that have some value on the transfer market.

Regarding the players (forwards) that are interesting for Spurs in the french league, I would only say Batshuayi and Lacazette.

But he won't leave Lyon for less than 50M Euros.

unfortunately I typed my message at the same time you was about to post your 2nd, hence not knowing players they could sell

My opinion, admittedly not worth much, is that he is being targetted to play with Kane on the left or right of the three in a Rodriguez type role....and could also deputise as no 9 if needed. Difficult transfer to get over the line though, especially with so many other clubs trying (juve now too, apparently). If we get this one, within our budget, we've done well.

Jansen, I believe, is for a no2 to Kane. Someone we can rotate with Kane in cup and some league games. That said, I think we've shut the Dembele mk II thread a little early. There has been no official confirmation of him going elsewhere (nor itk from what I see) and he can't talk to premier league clubs until July 1st. Fernabache may well "agree" a contract with him, and be told positive things by his agent, but he can't sign for them until July 1st either. I suspect he'll be playing in the premier league next season as everyone I know in the game rates him highly. If not us, then Liverpool.

2 of these three will be Spurs, with a bit of luck.

Thanks for that. Personally I don't think Michy actually wants £100K a week.

How's Aissa? I signed him on FIFA and he was pretty good- he's a CB now isn't he?

Aissa is good thank you.;)
He is going down from Ligue 1 to Ligue 2 with Reims.
He hasn't been excellent this season (his first as a CB - he was before a Right back) but he was quite decent compared to most Reims players that were bad.
As Reims need to offload players with some value on the transfer market , he will go this summer.
Amongst clubs interested, Boro or Fiorentina are mentionned.

There's a lot of noise that Benjamin Mendy will be sold to also help balance the books.

Something doesn't add up to me. When have Tottenham ever paid up front for a major transfer. It's always paid in some sort of instalments, which isn't going to help OM balance their books.

I think it still would, regardless if in instalments.

It certainly wont we you consider that we want to pay this off over four decades not helping OM at all= levy time.

The sale would be recorded at the time at it's full guaranteed value - if you sell a car you don't declare the sale over the course of the payments!
*The balance owed would be held as an asset on the balance sheet.

Here are some explanations of what’s going on at Olympique de Marseille.
Current Owner Margarita Louis Dreyfus decided a few months ago to sell the Club.
Some interests are being shown to buy the Club from foreign investors but nothing serious yet.

To be able to play in the same League the next year, french clubs must have balanced the books by the end of the current year.

Deficits are not allowed in french football.
If you have deficits the DNCG (Direction Nationale de Contrôle de Gestion); the “ french economic football police” can decide to sanction the Clubs whose books aren’t balanced.
It can go from relegation of the concerned club from 1 to several divisions (levels).
Or to decide the club in bankrupt.

OM president Vincent Labrune has to explain how he‘ll manage to balance the annual accounts (2015-2016) to the DNCG
in Paris on the Thurday 23.06.16.
Currently the 2015-2016 OM’s accounts show a 40 M Euro deficit.( £32 M ).

On the 23rd June, Labrune will have the explain the members of the DNCG how he will manage to have balanced the books.
The books must be balanced by the 31th June.
Indeed, the books must be balanced by the last day of June.
The account year for french football clubs go from 1st July to 31st July.

Owner Margarita Louis Dreyfus advised President Labrune several months ago that she won’t put in a single Euro
comes the end of June to balance the books.
It could have allowed him more time to sell players for a better price.

To summary, OM President must guarantee this thursday 23rd June that he will have find 40 M Euro within one week.
And that he is not financially backed-up at all by the OM owner MLD.

Labrune needs to find 40 M Eur urgently.
That’s why he estimated Batshuay value at 40M Euros. West Ham already made an 40 M Eur offer for Batshuayi weeks ago.
Marseille were ok with the price but Batshuayi refused to go to Hammers because he tells that absolutely wants to play CL football next year.

West Ham has even less chances to sign Lacazette than Batshuayi.
Olympique Lyonnais will play CL football next week and Lacazette isn’t desperate to leave Lyon.

Lyon are in good financial shape and unless a 50 M Euro check to arrive in Jean Michel Aulas’s desk (OL Owner and President)
from a CL Club Lacazette is interested to play for; Lacazette might not leave Lyon this summer.
West Ham will not sign Batshuayi and will not sign Lacazette either.

Thank you for your in depth information and research on the Batshuayi situation. I for one believe that as each day goes he is closer to becoming a spurs player. I feel we would of tied up Janssen if we really wanted him. Can only mean we currently negotiating with Marseille over the fee (maybe it's already been agreed?) let's just see what happens when either Belgium go out of the euros or after the euros is finished. Hopefully we do get Michy I really think he is exactly what we need.

Thanks for the info.

Do Marseille need all of that money to be paid at once, or is it ok if it's paid over the next 15 years?

Would be awesome if he could play wide attacker but not seen anything about him other then he's an out and out centre forward?

He plays that role for sure...but he can dribble, take the ball past people, works well with other forwards, plays a killer pass, can hold the ball up and knows where the goal is. Got all the ingredients to make a 4-2-3-1 be really effective as one of the three, or up top.

I'd be amazed if we get him, type of player I drool over but always ends up at one of the traditional power houses.

Edit:

If we do get him I think it'll mean Alli playing more in midfield and Erickson moving over to no 10. Batman and Njie for left wing forward, Lamella an Son on the right Erickson and a.n. other at no 10. Could be Carroll/mason/bentaleb or another buy?

Reason being, Alli plays well at number 10 but better as box to box. We used him up top because that was our strongest 11, with batman and wanyama arriving that might change.

Batshuayi has not played out wide for Marseille. And according to transfermarkt (http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michy-batshuayi/leistungsdaten/spieler/179184/plus/0?saison=ges), he's only played 5 games outside of CF in his whole career.

He's a striker mate, I seriously doubt he'd play anywhere else.

If we were only to pay in instalments (which would be par for the course) I am sure OM could effectively sell the deed of Batshuayi's transfer to a bank or the like for 90-95% of the value, therefore getting the vast majority up front (providing they actually need cash in the bank). I would expect there are many ways of creative financing involved at football clubs.

Please don't moan or groan as i aren't reading through all the jibba jabba from other day but in regards to Marseille needing money would we need to pay it up front or would they allow it instalments? no debate just an answer as i know you guys will be fed up. Am just being idle!
