“You know me, I am so optimistic,” said Mauricio Pochettino at Wembley last night. He was trying to explain why he remained bullish on his Tottenham Hotspur team pulling off the great escape and getting out of their Champions League group. Even though they took one point from their first three games.

Inter have improved a fair bit since we played them, and IMO we haven't. We still have the ability to dominate games without putting them away and sometimes snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. It will be a bloody miracle if we get out of the group stages, but with nothing to lose I hope it's an opportunity to cut loose chuck everything at them.

The result yesterday was massive, not only in keeping our CL hopes alive, but also in terms of psychology. We scored two very late goals and won the match, whereas previously this season, we lost games through late goals (Watford, Inter away, PSV away).

We didn't lose to PSV away, although it felt like it.

They are being carried by Icardi. I think that we can definitely beat them, but it will be very tough. They have improved and were always going to. Our problems have been brainfarts at the back. We should be a lot stronger after the international break.

Icardi is very good, we should buy him.
