The heat could favour us in that Liverpool won't be able to play at the same intensity throughout.

I think they'll come out quickly and it's imperative we don't concede early. We do that and I think we'll get on top just like the second half at Anfield.

Our key man is Sissoko imo. If he plays like he has for most of the season, and finds that last gear even, I think we' could cause them huge problems.

Nah, we’re a team with one semi-final in our entire history. Absolutely no-one would have given us a hope at the start of the competition.

Whilst no one expected it, its hardly an unfathomable result. We're a very good side, who has previously stood up to Juve, beaten Madrid etc. Its not like we're Young Boys making the final.

That would be truly unexpected.

This could be the best week a spurs fan could conceivably wish for, which is why I fully expect arsenal to win their final and us to get gubbed in ours...

But the reality will be sweeter when they get a pasting off a team about to sack their manager and we beat the media darlings with Klopp losing his 8th of 9 finals..

Their full backs are what really worry me. Find a way to negate them and I think we're capable of finding various ways to hurt them.

I've seen lots of chat about being proud regardless of what happens etc, and it's an achievement to get there. That needs to stop until after the game. Nothing is 'achieved' yet. If the worst happens and we lose, in hindsight we can say it was a great run etc, but I'd rather us be positive than already being happy to just be there

Trust me, everyone is 100% positive ....it is simply a question of fully evaluating the season's performance as a whole (league and CL), which obviously cannot be done until we have beaten Liverpool next week (see...positive (y)). Don't worry, no negativity or bad vibes here....COYS !!

That’s why I’ve said it’s similar to Porto or Denmark who had Schmeichel and Laudrup. Malta winning the Euros would be like Young Boys.

I'm pretty sure he meant the European Cup, which has always been the pinnacle of European football ahead of the UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup.

The UEFA was arguably harder to win back in the day.

Also, in terms of performance against times qualified, we are up there. We have a very good European pedigree.

For example, this is our 5th European Cup/Champions League campaign

It reads -
1 Final
1 Semi-Final
1 Quarter-Final
1 Last 16
1 Knocked our group stage

That’s pretty impressive

Fair enough. Personally I think Porto winning it was against more odds than us now. We've arguably the best number 9 in the world in our side.

This is an unreal video - its the no filter BT Sport - but its the way it builds up from the Inter game right through to the Ajax game - who the fuck would have thought it would culminate in this eh... the video just epitomises the adversity we have had to go through to get here...

It is damn destiny

When you see this at comic con and see that label! Wore last season's shirt and found several other Spurs. Everyone is absolutely buzzing!

Does anyone else feel like the stars may have aligned for us this year? The amount of times we've clawed ourselves out from the realms of defeat, all those nearly moments that we've all experienced season after season.

Maybe the big man upstairs will let us have our way this time (y)

Maybe the football gods are feeling a bit bad after being dicks to us for the past 30 years?

I have been nervous for a bit but now its really starting to hit me. Like a lot of things in my life, I don't know how to just relax and embrace things.

Probably serves me right from having that sleep over at @Houdini's place. When he said there would be a petting zoo, I didn't expect a stripey painted cock.

The thing ive been pondering about the last couple of days is........

Will the 3 week break harm them more than us? The reason i ask this is the dirrences in styles of play. Will the break help them charge up and press like crazy with high intensity or will it harm them not having done it for a few weeks?

Our style is alot more difference imo. It should harm us much tbh.

Thoughts?

My view is the 3 week gap is way more beneficial for us just because of where our respective squads were at the end of the season

We were limping over the line walking wounded and running on fumes. 3 weeks gives Winks time to get fit who IMO will be critical for us and obviously Kane a chance to get fit and the whole squad to recharge.

I think if we had played them the week after the season ended I would have been much less optimistic
