This question sounds stupid before I've even asked it, but does that mean I'd simply be able to go on the YouTube that's already on my smart TV & just find it?
I'm pretty sure you'll be fine doing that but my tvs are 3 or 4 years out of date and the browser isn't wonderful so it's hard for me to know for sure about your tv. If you don't have any luck you should at least be able to click the link on your browser from your mobile, press the cast button and Bob will be your mother's brother. ;)

Actually Coopsie, just give it a try and see if it works from the link above. If it does, you'll have your answer. :)

If your tv "talks" to mobiles then when you click the above link from your mobile, a little tv icon will appear somewhere on your mobile screen. Press it and it'll connect up to your tv and stream the final to your tv.

I'll have a gander in the morning mate. Smart TV is in the front room, I'm chilling in bed watching a Man City thing on Amazon (pretty interesting actually).

Thanks for your assistance bud. (y)

Ooh that sounds exciting. I'll have to check that out tomorrow too. My TV is pretty decent, 4k and millions of HDMI etc.

@Indisguise , out of curiosity, I just went on YouTube on my phone & pressed the little screen icon. This was what happened..

I've got a fire stick & Now TV stick attached to my TV, so would that mean I'll just select one of those & it'll stream through them (via my phone, would I have to keep it playing on my phone)

Yup, that's right mate. I'm not sure about the Now TV option but the firestick will work. The phone is the conduit but from my experience it won't take up much battery power while it's streaming.

Just thought, in the season where we've had less pre season as a lot of our squad went further in the summer world cup than usual, where we've had a awful injury record and no signings at all, we've managed to go further and will be playing longer than everyone else bar Liverpool. Strange thats happened at the same time.

Nah, I think that's just for notifications of new videos posted by BT Sport but I'll check to make sure in the morning (sorry, I'm not at home at the mo).

ok no probs, thought my TV was smarter than it is, as I only got it 2½yrs ago, and iPhone 8, but no tv screen shows up, yet I can get youtube on my TV, and have an apps link

Need to be connected to same wi fi network. Go on youtube, select settings and click on watch on tv and there will be options on how to connect.
