...which is why I want us to wear our third kit. Our home tops look absolute shite this year.
I agree with the home tops assessment (and the second kit is crap too). Both City and Chelsea are Nike clubs and their designs were much better than ours, but really we should wear all white.......And that green kit is just fucking horrible. Imagine having a poster on your wall of the CL-winning team holding the cup wearing that abomination.

It has to be the all-white kit.

All white is our European strip, and with Liverpool likely to be wearing red, I do not see any change from that. Plus I love the all white!!

Yep. The only shame about this is that we're going to be European Champions in our worst home kit in at least a decade, if not longer.

Plus Liverpool might think we're Real Madrid and give us a few goals if we're lucky.

Woke up in a cold sweat this morning.
Incredibly vivid dream.... nightmare even!
It was the evening of the European cup final, we’d gone to watch the game at an unspecified North London pub. Instead of playing Liverpool we were facing Arsenal in the final.
The pub was full of Arsenal’s most annoying players of old, amongst them Pires and Wilshire were hanging out together by the bar.. I gave them some abuse which I remember felt really nice.

Things turned sour when William Gallas (???) headed them in front in the 1st minute.

During the next 93 minutes various Arsenal players of old popped up in the pub being smug but generally not taking the thing seriously enough...

Come the 94th Harry Kane equalised with an arrow of a free kick, (I remember vividly the distressed expression on Gallas’ face, similar to the expression he wore when sitting in the centre circle after Arsenal joyously lost to Birmingham back in 2008).... and then straight away we earned a penalty on the next attack. Up steps Kane of course, me and a group of friends are all fearing the worst “Harry never misses.. typical it will happen in the biggest moment in our history!” Sure enough Harry smacks it against the post... despite us having equalised moments before, my dream fuddled internal director must have been so distraught by the penalty miss that this happening had been wiped out... the game ended at 1-0 to Arsenal, and with that our dreams (and mine) ended with the most bitter of disappointment... that’s when I awoke in a sweaty panic.

Oh well, whatever happens on June the 1st.. at least it won’t be half as bad as that ?

The green kit feels lucky and we have had some great performances in that kit but it just feels wrong not wearing our white kit when lifting that fucking trophy

Unless we go out win the game with the green then change our kits to the white when lifting the big eared trophy

Do you think that we will play in a new kit?
Whilst it would make massive commercial sense for Nike and the club to release a new kit for the final, apparently it's a no go. I'm sure Liverpool asked to use their new kit last season and were refused.

Definitely. I just wish we didn’t have the navy stripe at the bottom of the shirt. I don’t mind it when we wear navy shorts, but with the white shorts it just looks cack. I’m still gobsmacked that seemingly no-one thought that through.

I doubt they’d even have considered it, but a special strip for the final, with a completely white shirt, would have been nice.

Interesting observation.....

My brother is a Liverpool fan, I spoke to him after the premier league season ended and asked what he was feeling about 1st June. His response was surprisingly laid back. He said that he wasn't overly fussed about the CL. He wanted the league so badly and still really hoped they might swing it on the last day, particularly when Brighton scored first.

He said this will be the 4th CL final he's seen Liverpool in during his life time so far, so to him, it's not THAT big of a deal for them to be in it and because they won it in 2005, he feels like whilst it would be great and he hopes they do win it, he wanted the league so much and actually he could live with Spurs winning it if that's what ends up happening - just cos we've not won it before.

Equally, the day after we qualified, I heard a Liverpool fan call into Talksport and he said almost exactly the same thing. He got hammered by Goughie and dick face Durham but I understood what he meant.

Don't get me wrong, their players won't have this same mindset but I find it interesting that this is going to mean so much more to us than it does to them, from a fans perspective at least. I wonder whether the disappointment of losing out on the league, on the last day, by 1 point after amassing 97 of them and only losing once, will end up being a sucker punch that gives us an edge or a motivation to win and have something to show for their season, giving them an edge.

I'm so nervous whenever I thought of 1 June.

That wait is unbearable...

It's awful isn't it! I have a 1hr drive to and from work and the whole journey I spend thinking about this match. Not sure how I'm going to survive
