They had a couple of days off, they've been back doing fitness training and next week they're moving to more game specific training and possibly going to Madrid on Monday to begin preparations if the media are to be believed.

Last time a team from Manchester won a treble 1999 Spurs won the other trophy lol.

Oh and we beat them in 1/4 final.

In 1999 United got Triple Champs
We won League cup by beat them on Quarter final

In 2019 City got domestic Triple Champs
We beat them in UCL Quarter final
Then....

There is a famous quote that "nobody remembers who finished second".

Well because of their fans absolute arrogance LFC will break the trend TWICE this season.

It is now almost indelibly marked on our brains that LVC finished second in the 18/19 PL season.

When we lift the trophy on June the first we will undoubtedly be touted by the Liverpool love-in press as 'The Team that beat Liverpool' in the CL final.

So we will be the Champions of Europe, and Liverpool by their own actions will go down in history as losers TWICE in one season!!!!!

I will have never known anyone elses bitterness to taste so sweet.

COYS!!!!!!!

I think the twelve sub thing, is standard in the final in recent years. I take it we are at the Real Madrid training ground in the days leading up to the final?

It will be interesting to see what way the commentary is presented on BT sports. Hopefully they dont have McManaman anywhere near the mic. They should really have a netural person, but I think its either Owen, McManaman or Jenas they have. G Neville would be ace, but that aint happening.

They will no doubt have one of each plus Fletcher. JJ plus Macca and Fletcher - that aint tooo bad. I really dont mind Macamanamanamanamanmanaman

What I dont mind is if JJ or Macca just go off on one celebrating - we know they wont be partial so who cares... as long as one of each

The upside, and the huge potential downfall too, is Liverpool defeating Barcelona. If we were playing the final vs. Barcelona, you'd take it as a fun day out really, and if losing it would just all have been a great experience. But since the opposition is in fact Liverpool, the desire for a win is so much stronger, and so the different emotions are invested. I hope that goes for the squad as well, that the fact that it is Liverpool improves the urge to see it all the way through.

I'd say we can heart from the second half at Anfield (error aside). We had the beating of them and with a potentially fully fit squad or as close to as possible for the first time in ages we have every chance of beating them. It's probably 50/50 and too tight to call, but it certainly is possible and not beyond us.

I booked a diving holiday in Greece a while ago because I literally wanted to have my head under water if Liverpool won the league. As it is, bar a glimmer of hope that I might get a ticket, I’m quite enjoying the time off from the torture that is being Spurs sipping on Mythos.

Come the week leading up to the final where I worry about everything from where to watch it in Madrid to Kane and Winks’ ankles, this zen feeling will be long gone.
