Is that refund on top of the compensation you can claim for the delayed flight? Or are they offering it because they know they need to cough up anyway? How delayed were you?

Due to land at 1300, landed at 2030, so a good 7.5 hours. Do you believe I can claim compensation on top of the refund being offered, or is this refund in essence in lieu of compensation?

Did you see the streaker?

Yes, yes I did. And she was hauled off right below where I was sat.

Then it was all worth it. Were you in 112 as well? She was that close to me one of her nips almost had my eye out.

The EU Regulation 261/2004 (or EC 261). Google that. It should explain.

You’re due 250 Euros for a 3 hour + delay BUT if the official reason is a bird strike then that might count as “extraordinary” which means they don’t have to pay :-(

I’ve just got home after an 11 hour drive today.

All I can say is, those French are dirty fuckers, they don’t even have seats on their toilets yet.

Now at South Ealing on the Piccadilly Line. Malaga to Rome, Rome to Heathrow.

I’ve spoken to a relative who’s a top aviation lawyer. She’s said that the full refund is essentially going to cover EC261, but that we can get a lot more by going after Thomas Cook with the Montreal Convention.

But you’re not eligible for EC261 after they ruled bird strikes count as “extraordinary”.

I thought having to wait 8 hours at the airport after the game was bad enough, feel for those you who waited all day at Stansted and missed the day out and beginning of the game.

The airport was littered with people trying to get some sleep, I ended up trying to sleep in Burger King of all places as they have some resemblance of padding on their seats, not that it really helped.

I managed a few hours, woke up and crowded around someones phone with both Spurs and Liverpool fans to watch the AJ fight. All of the scousers were good to be fair, no gloating at all. One bloke tried to sing a couple of times but was promptly told by both sets of fans to shut the fuck up

I’m that case the full refund they’re giving us is their choice and pursuing via Montreal may well reap dividends.
