I've been reading RAWK post match thread and they're mixed. There complimentary about Bayern's nous , but believe Bayern should've scored if they wanted to go through.
They strongly feel they'll go through.

And they think Bayern are shit.

I didn't watch the game, and I'm sure he was poor, but in general Coman is quality. One must keep in mind he was a doubt for this match and has only recently returned from a very, very long injury. He will be better second leg as long as he is fully fit.

I'll give him the benefit of doubt, but I'll be surprised if he tears up Liverpool

Yeah, but I'm sure they'd of taken a 0-0 before the game. Even if they lose 1-0 its still a completely 50/50 tie.

Yeah it's not the worst result for them for sure. Definitely didn't expect them to not look like scoring throughout practically the whole game though.

Considering how teams can get burned at Anfield I'm sure they'll be happy with the result especially with that in consideration.

It may be Bayern, but with Liverpool's record at home last season, they'll be delighted. They were blowing this two leg ties apart in half hour at Anfield.

I’d love to be very, very short at 6’1!
Yeah, I don't think he is 6'1". That may be what he is listed as but if you watch him around other players you will see. If he were listed as 6 foot I could go for it...and I'd still have a tiny suspicion of anthropometric generosity.

Edit: perhaps I should have said short for a GK. And just checked transfermarkt and they have him listed at 1.84m so a hair over 6'...

The absolute priority in the home leg is clean sheet. Scousers wont be too unhappy with 0-0 .
Which is why the away goals rule has to go IMO. It kills too many first legs of knockout ties.

I think it’s a good result for Bayern. It’s just spin from the media that it’s a better one for Liverpool. I’m sure they said in commentary that Munich had only been stopped from scoring (and lost) one game at home this season. So they obviously back themselves to get a result at home, where I’m sure they’ll be more attacking.

It was clear Munich were going there to defend. And they did that very, very well. 0-0 going to Munich means Liverpool have to score, they'll be more open as will Munich, however that is a very difficult place to go.

Actually my first thought was how the special force field around the penalty area robs him of this strength. Its just not fair on the poor guy.

James was so shite I said to my eldest boy (there was 10 mins left) I bet he scores now I've slagged him off for being rubbish. I put £2 on @ 25/1 & as I hit place the bet he got subbed. FML

Also Sadio Mane's barnet it receeding at a rapid rate. I said to my boys last night he's not got a forehead anymore it's more like an eighthead.

It was noticeable last night when Salah was playing towards The Kop that every time he collected the ball the
Anfield faithful were screaming for something before anything happened., pre-empting any phase of play and trying to influencing the ref.

Solid performance by Bayern. Like us in the first half against Dortmund the plan was to take away the sting from teams who play a similar way on the front foot, relying on pace. The second leg will be evenly balanced and hard to call and may well depend on the fitness of key players

So all Bayern need to do is win at home, anyone know their record at home?:)

Last 8 seasons (including this season) they've had the following home record in the Champions League:

Played: 45

Won: 37

Drawn: 3

Lost: 5

The only caveat would be that a few years back they had a truly formidable team, which they don't seem to have anymore. Anyway, that would account for a chunk of those 'wins'.
