Although that was a very good defensive display by Bayern I don’t think that’s a bad result for Liverpool.

Imagine going from Ribéry and Robben to Gnabry and Coman! Also what exactly does James do, all i saw from him all game was giving the ball away.

Firmino was bang average tonight aswell, second half he was completely invisible.

Best player on the field for me was Hummels.

So let's have this right.

Last week Scouse fans giving it the 'Spurs should have beat Dortmund, they had key players missing"

So what's their excuse this week then, surely Scouse should have won, not forgetting Munich had players missing and are actually beneath Dortmund in the league.

Oh...and feck the VVD missing crap, we were missing Kane and Alli, as well as Rose.

Toothless wonders. :finger:

If we go through to the next round, I hope we get Bayern (that would also mean that Pool have been knocked out :D).

Weird decision from Bayern

Score draw at home and they're out. Liverpool are more than capable of scoring away regardless of their CL away record

Bayern game plan obviously was to play it safe and first and foremost to not lose the first leg away. I'm not aware of Bayerns home form but they must believe they have a better chance of winning at home.

All in all it was a quite dull affair. Interesting from a tactical aspect I suppose. I wasn't very impressed by Liverpool either. They created nothing more than half-chances.

I don’t think you can class Firmino as toothless

The beauty of the result is that Liverpool will still need to field a strong side for the away leg and could potentially rest a player or two in the PL.
