Ronaldo saying to change the champions league to CR7 lol...

I’m presuming he’s joshing but with that big head you never know...

(Also, anyone referring to him - including Ronaldo himself - as CR7 deserved to be shot in the knee).

Sergio Ramos is a winner, but also a piece of shit. The grapping was intentional. He wanted to take Salah out of the game. He's done that with other players. And he always gets away with it.

Nothing new, read Chiellini, Godin, Terry...they all try to take opponents out of the game and play on the edge. It's what makes them fierce and uncompromising defenders.

This wasn't a case of Ramos losing it like he did with Messi years ago, and tried to kick him up in the air and then try to fight the whole Barca team.

So what if the grappling was intentional, Salah was as much to blame for the locking of arms. That kind of contact and holding happens all the time. Sure, Ramos was being aggressive and sending a message to an attacking threat, but he didn't intend to dislocate Salah's shoulder.

I saw Milner take Carvajal out early in the game, soften him up, and then another challenge from a Liverpool player a little later sees Carvajal carted off for good.

There wasn't a sending off offence in the whole game, and both teams were at it.

Salah imo was just as guilty of it, and just came off worse (other shoulder obvs) from it.

Few different angles of it going around, but Salah had Ramos in an arm lock before they went down, e.g

Also known as fake news on Rawk, despite the visual evidence.

24 career red cards would suggest he doesn’t always get away with it...

Chiellini and Godin rough you up, but I can't remember a game where they intended to injure a player.

It wasn't a sending off offence, but it was clearly intended to take him out

He never intended to take him out the game. He left a bit on him, roughed him up and unfortunately for Salah he got injured.
Liverpool did the same to Ronaldo early.

If you want to rough him up you kick the ankles or the leg, you don't go and make a judo grappling move

Nah come on, I think its a point where people are rewatching the incident so much they are exaggerating it, seeing things that arn't there.

Looking at it very simply, Salah locks arms with Ramos as he tries to get in front of him. Ramos at this point, moves his body towards the ball, gets the ball and then takes Salah down. Ramos doesn't delink his arms as they are falling.

I mean its clearly not premeditated and most times no injury would occur. Ramos quite possibly did not delink his arms intentionally but there is no way he would know that this would take Salah out. Also not delinking his arms is just the natural thing to do, while when going down it looks like Ramos tightens hiss grip around Salah, he is actually even then making a natural movement associated with falling down. To make an effort to unlink the arms would be a conscious decision to try and prevent injury to Salah, I think most players wouldn't do that.

I mean there is a chance, particularly cos its Ramos, that he thought 'wait I can take Salah out of the game here' but like seconds before the action occurred. Much more likely he thought of giving Salah something to think about, not to dissimilar when people leave their foot in after a good tackle, something Rose and Lamela are experts in. Where the aim is too hurt but not take out.

If it was another player, I'd agree. But its Sergio Ramos

I think many here are having their judgement clouded because they wanted Liverpool to lose. If that was Eriksen instead of Salah, everyone would be calling for Ramos to be hanged.
