Last year Chelsea and United and Liverpool were going to be a force this season. And the year before that other clubs and so on…...

I'm not saying they wont be but blimey, this gets trotted out more often than "Levy is a genius" :D

Lets stop soiling our trollies at what other clubs might do and go for it big time. We can deal with the self inflicted trauma later :woot:

You might actually have to give Levy some credit if we do hit the big one this season.

The thought must keep you awake at night.

I do think we have a good chance, but so do 3 other teams. Keep the faith.

The season we qualified for the CL was also going to be "our last chance to qualify" with City awakening. Yet we should have finished 3rd two seasons later, had a damn good chance for 4th in AVB's 1st season, and we're where we are now. Too many people think they know what is going to happen in the future.

Can't believe we are where we are now. I wouldn't cash out. Want to keep the dream going, we have as much chance winning the league as others around us. We just need to believe.

If Leicester beat Arsenal on Sunday it will be the first time I will genuinely believe they can win it. Hope they don't win though because it would hurt our chances considerably.

Sky interviewed some Lester fans during their spunk fest over them. One idiot came out with 'Were top of the league, were a big club now were above everyone' something like that. It was so fucking cringe, from that moment on I hope Lester get that close they lose out on GD by 1 goal right on the last day so its even more fucking painful to take.

What is there to cash out at this point? We just got to fight game by game and decide end March.

Just play all out every game and look at the priorities in April. We might crash out of the cup games and only top 4 to play or we have a cup game and title shot or crash out on both cup and title shot..... Might also end up Europa League winner as the must win....

Too many permutations... Anything can happen now till end Mar. We might even top the league and abandon all other cup games.... So too early to make any calls. Just win every game with whatever at our disposals.....coys

Not really, I give him plenty of credit. Its just that people see what they want to see and/or are of the opinion that ANY critcism of our pet little cue ball makes one rabidly anti-Levy.

Not that it matters but i'll give the credit to the players and the manager anyway. Why would I praise someone for getting it right at about the 10th time of asking? :p Now that'll get some beesoddles back up………..

Fuck cashing out!

What will be will be....whatever happens this season won't have been a complete disaster. We're punching well above our weight, what with experience, staff, wages, stadium size, turnover etc etc.

Agree. Still dont think its Leicester who will win it.

We need to win it if only because it may be either that or Arsenal. I wouldnt call it an outside chance to be honest, we are right in the thick of it.

Oh yeah as I said I do think we're in it, and it's a close race for sure...but I do think the bookies have us right as the fourth favourites.

City and Arsenal have both shown in previous seasons that they have it in them to go on a long winning run, something we have yet to prove. Plus they've also got experience of fighting for the title (pleasingly unsuccessfully in Arsenal's case, but they've regularly been in the running at the end of the season). It is reasonable to believe that one or both could get their act together, go on a great run and nick the title as so many top sides have done in the past.

Leicester are almost the opposite - they have less experience and IMO are more likely to go on a terrible run, something which will be new territory for them this season - but on the other hand they've got a big cushion and are riding the crest of a wave - they could hit the skids and end up out of the race, but they might just as easily continue as they have been doing recently and wrap the title up by April; it sounds mental to say that, but after their last three games it has to be acknowledged as a possibility that they end up running away with it rather than scrapping to see their lead out.

Which leaves us in the bizarre situation of, for the first time in God knows how long, being the stable team of the group we're competing with. We're not likely to go on a ten-game winning run like City or Arsenal might, but nor are we likely to make a complete bollocks of it (*crosses fingers, crosses toes, touches wood*) like any of the other three could. I would argue we have the most predictable trajectory of the challengers - I would expect us to remain consistent while dropping points here and there as we have done the rest of the season - the question is whether this will be enough to overhaul Leicester if they fade, or see off any potential improvement from City or Arsenal.

Most of us have never seen us win the league....

Next season City,Chelsea,Utd and possible Lpool will be a force...this may be our last chance for many years.

Fuck cashing out.
People say that every single year. Yet every year we finish 5th or thereabouts. I don't see Liverpool as much of a threat any more than any other year TBH. The others you mention may very well improve. But so will we.

I would cash out on Leicester top and us 2nd but wouldnt just cash out on us 2nd if Arsenall were to win it.

I think its theirs to win this season and would not stand that. Let alone finishing second best behind them.

Id rather finish 15th than them winning the league.

Play on. As daft as this may sound the financial reward for finishing in the champions league isn't that big nowadays for the cash rich premier league clubs anyway.

Not finishing in the champions league places I don't think is a big deal as it once was.
It's not about the money, it's about the prestige, and the class of player that you can attract.

Next season we'll still be ahead of the game and in the CL proper if you cash out. I'd take it and get some contract extensions in the bag and maybe a couple of new faces.

Who did we attract when we were last in it!? No one. We won't have anymore money to spend. It will be more about keeping our current players and enjoying tues/weds nights
