All PL teams shouldnt be in it and I would still have a Europa league place as a prize because lets be honest most teams hardly take that seriously either, even though there is a CL spot prize if you win.
Yeah, I take back what I said re a CL spot for FA Cup winners. Six bloody games... NO WAY.

Personally think the clubs in Europe shouldn’t be in it.
That also works but you would then have teams battling relegation taking it easy and we will be back to square one

Ironically the team that will win it will be a team in Europe - even though the competition has Europa league qualification

9-0 up and barely anyone in the ground.

Manchester City are a vile joke of a club.

Can guarantee Old Trafford would be packed out right now - all that nonsense City fans peddle about being the most popular club among Mancunians is total bollocks.
Agree, I live in Manchester, know loads of City fans and they all give it the big bollocks, all posting on bookface tonight but haven’t gone...****’s

Sod's law though, innit? Some of the other 'top' clubs have won so many trophies against bullshit opposition in their finals.
If you consistently reach finals you'll sometimes get lucky with the opposition. You can't only make two or three finals in a decade - regularly going out because you haven't taken the competion seriously - and then complain that you happened to face big teams in them.

Whats WTF about that? Burton arnt a particularly old club relatively speaking. Other clubs have struggled going nowhere fast for 100 years. Wimbledon made it. So if they can anyone can. Yes they are small, but theres lots of pluses to take from playing teams like man city. It will stand them well for the future.

lets hope man city really take it easy to put out an under 18 side...

but I think their squad is big enough to throw on 11 reserves and still come away with an easy win.

Therein lies the problem now.
Burton will have sold out for the second leg in the anticipation that its still close and that City send out a full team.

Seriously - who is going to turn up for it now??? City will send a reserve team.

With 9-0 they don't even need to send a team for the away leg.

I'd be interested to know the age demographic of people in here who want shot of the League Cup, or for that matter dissing the F.A cup.

Majority of Burton fans apparently didn't make it to the stadium before half-time, some arriving 15 mins before full time, due to issues on the M6. Probably a blessing in disguise.
