I'm that case we need to get Harry on the phone to him ASAP. Apparently his release clause is £8.8M if they go down which is absolutely nothing these days.
Depends what sort clause it is..if it's a release clause it's only legally binding in the country it's signed..if it's buy-out, termination clause then teams/player could pay the 8.8 to move to a foreign club... it's a bit confusing.. Uefa will be releasing new guidelines regarding transfers /players rights soon..

Ah, I didn't know that, thanks. I guess that if Bayern trigger the clause and we match it they'd probably accept our bid as well though? Maybe they could get an extra bit of cash from us as well.

They could or it could be like Firminio transfer where they look for more..that would depend on the player wanting the move..selling the idea of been a Kane back-up isn't easy at least at Bayern they have a career progression plan..sign go on loan couple seasons..go to Spurs he'll be sitting on bench... personally I think 18 is to young to be moving countries to play football..far better getting experience in there own country imo

Being a Kane back up might appeal to him though as he says Kane is his inspiration and the player he models himself on. If he wanted to go on loan to a German club I'm sure we could still arrange that.

Maybe..we would still need a Kane back-up in short-term though.. he's already been quoted in German press saying.. if Hamburg go down he wants to be allowed join Bayern & apparently there is an agreement in place but until it's official I suppose it's still possible to get him..at his age would he be a better back-up than Son?

Definitely not better than Son. I haven't even seen him play, but he sounds like one for the future.

Lewandowski hasn't got that many years left on the top, wouldn't be suprised to see Arp go there.

B.Dort lost 3-1 to Hoffenheim today but finished 4th and qualify for the CL again.

Poor old Aubameyang misses out.

Whoa, Hamburg relegated. I don't follow the Bundesliga, but that's a big club to go down, though I notice they haven't won the league since 1982/3, and have been battling relegation a few times recently. Hamburg is Germany's 2nd largest city. First relegation in 55 years, and scenes from their fans:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6269871/hamburg-relegated-first-time-55-years-bundesliga/

I watched the end of this match, it was crazy. The ref called the game to a halt with seconds to spare whilst the riot police dealt with the fans. The players remained on the pitch and the match was restarted about 11 minutes later with the Monchengladbach Keeper kicking the ball upfield to the Hamburg keeper and the ref immediately blew the whistle.

I watched this too. The fans were chanting that the real fans wouldn’t do this and it was apparently just a few who threw the flares that made it all go crazy. It’s a shame, as I’m a Hamburg fan but the club just doesn’t have many good players. One positive is that Lewis Holtby almost single handedly kept them up since his return from injury. He has recaptured that form that he hasn’t had since his Schalke days when he was Captain of the German U21 squad. I’ll be honest, we need more creative players. I’d take Lewis back on a free as outside of Eriksen, we have nobody else to unlock teams that sit back. I know most will say that we’ve grown past his stature of player, but I’m still a fan.

Bild said a month or so ago that the fee was about 8m Euro! crazy (low) price for a promising talent.

To be fair to him, I'm not sure how much of a chance he really had to showcase his abilities. He had half a season here when he first transferred and looked decent in a very negative playing AVB side that pretty much was all about hoping for Bale wonder goals. The next season he gets shifted to playing deeper more as a holding mid and AVB gets sacked. Sherwood never liked him based on his recent comments and shipped him off to Fulham where they hired a coach who didn't like him previously (McGath) 2 weeks after he came over. The following season he gets loaned/sold to Hamburg who were pretty terrible over his tenure there. He helped stave off relegation twice but still are going down despite how well he's played this season. He upswing in production and form I think is connected to the change of manager who played him more of a #10 like his days at Schalke. 5 goals in 8 games after being put into that role and being Hamburg's leading scorer despite only playing less than half of their games this season. I don't know, I still think he can be something big somewhere.

I think he did as good as he could considering the circumstances.

Agree. He's had terrible bad luck in terms of what's been going on around him at all of his clubs. Could've had a much better career if he'd times his moves better.

Just watching the bundesliga highlights from last weekend, Donis of Stuttgart looked lively.

Any experts in here? I know Hercules was talking about targets in Germany. Anyone think Benjamin Pavard of Stuttgart is an option should De Ligt fall through? He just got announced on the French world cup squad.

Has anyone seen much of Thomas Delaney at Weder Bremen? Apparently we were linked with him recently. There's probably nothing in it but he plays with Eriksen in the National team so maybe they've developed an understanding that we could tap into.

Bayern Munich denied a stonewall penalty 2-1 down deep in injury time in the Cup final. Eintract Frankfurt go up the other end after the VAR and score to win 3-1 with the last kick of the game
