100% agree , we need full backs as good or with potential to be as good or better than Robertson and Trent Alexander Arnold

That’s probably the whole point of Sessegnon, could potentially be just about the best attacking full back but will need to work on the defensive side of the game.

As for right back no idea.

Currently:

Lloris
Foyth - Toby - Jan - Rose
Winks - Ndombele
Lucas - Eriksen - Son
Kane

KWP showed little to suggest he's ready to be our main RB. Hopefully Aurier steps up. I'm ok with Foyth as he's a good footballer. We currently lack end product from our fullbacks, but that might be offset by how positive Winks and Ndombele is with the ball.

Alli need to step up to push Lucas out on current form imo.

I know some people don’t like Rose but he’s a top player. It would be such a loss if we let him go. Aurier I don’t mind as with a run of games he has looked decent but I think the drop in quality from Rose to Davies is too big

Ali is expendable, if we can sell him for £60+ it would be a profit. He lacks the technique and composure to play for us.

Bloody hard to pick but given how we set up against Juve I'd go for something like this (assuming Lo Celso signs):

Lloris
Foyth - Toby - Jan - Rose
Lo Celso - Winks - Ndombele
Eriksen
Kane - Son

I think with this system we have a lot of flexibility regarding personnel and would have a pretty strong second 11:

Gazza
Aurier/KWP - Dier - Sanchez - Davies/Sessegnon
Sissoko - Skipp/Wanyama - Alli
Lamela
Llorente/Parrott - Lucas

- Alli, Lo Celso, Eriksen and maybe Ndombele could all either play in the 3 or behind the front pairing.
- We could bring in Dier or Wanyama as a sitting midfielder if we want to be more defensive.
- If we play Alli behind the strikers we could even rest Kane and use Alli more as a forward/false 9 with Lucas and Son playing wide in a kind of hybrid 4-3-3.

Alli in all I think it's an exciting system/lineup and Lo Celso would add massively to our tactical flexibility and rotation options.

A little different answer than most but I'd love to see this (and swap Rose for Sess if he's still here):

Eriksen does not play in the front 3.
I think he could do easily. Previously the issue had been that when he did play more advanced there was nobody further back who could control the game. With Lo Celso and Ndombele in along with Winks improving I can see that changing. Defensively i'd prefer him further forward as he does like to press but doesn't have good ability to actually win the ball back.

Eriksen does not play in the front 3.
Surely he could. His best spot IMO is still the #10 but he's a sublime finisher and could certainly play in the front three. He's done so quite often for Denmark.

Still think we should run a 4-1-2-1-2 diamond though with Eriksen at the #10 competing with Dele.

It's not what we used on Sunday, but that does make sense if Sessegnon replaces Rose and Toby stays. We'd have an abundance of centre halves, all of which have a lot of quality if you include Dier. The full backs there are probably more comfortable attacking than defending too so this plays to their strengths.

The only thing i'd change shape wise would be to play Eriksen at 10 with two strikers from Alli, Son, Lucas and Kane. We can then vary this if we need more bodies in the middle by playing 2 Ams and 1 up top. It can be very flexible in terms of the attacking 5 players. The Lo Celso Ndombele double pivot is perhaps questionable in terms of leaving space between the lines. For that to work we'd need an aggressive centre half ready to step out from the back 3. Dier could do that job well.

If we're going to a 4 man defence then I think the diamond does work well as that helps us to fit in midfield players which now unbelievably might become a strength of ours.

Something like this:

Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Davies
Ndombele -Winks - Eriksen
Dele
Kane ----- Son

This will have us rely an awful lot on the midfield 3 for protection, Tanguy Winks and Dele for protection. We need width to protect against overlapping FB; I shudder at the thought of Rose or Davies being doubled up by Trent and Salah as Eriken is supposed to provide the cover on the left.
If we sign lo Celso I can see us playing a bit of a lopsided 4-2-2-2 formation.

------------------------------------Lloris
---------Aurier --------- Toby---------Verts ---------Rose

-------------------------- Winks--------Dombele

------------- Lo Celso ---------Eriksen
----------------------------------------------------- Son
--------------------------------- Kane

Lo Celso forming part of the CM 3 when we're defending, but pushing up on the outside right when we're attacking. Son running into the left channel with Dombele supporting behind. Eriksen as the nominal 10. A fluid formation able to adapt to the circumstances.

Can't believe people are dropping Sissoko. Our best midfielder by far last year.

Aurier-Toby-Jan-Rose
Sissoko-NDombele
Lo Celso-Eriksen-Son
Kane

The above would be my side.

I don't want him sold, although I appreciate every player has their price. However, I wholeheartedly disagree that we should entertain offers in the region of sixty quid.
I’d buy him for my local team (and it’s payday soon!)
