Best Spurs Squad In Years... What's Missing?

I know the transfer window has only just closed, but i honestly believe this is the best squad i have seen in the last 30 years, the depth, the hunger, the management, the gernal direction of the club is really exciting.

I feel we are finally going into transfer windows without having to make huge wholesale changes, looking at the team now it's very difficult to see where we could improve.

For me, if we were to make one big purchase i would probably still be on the Isco train, but its tough. What does everyone else think....

Starting 11:
Isco, Coric, Bernardo Silva (didn't realise he was only 22) - I guess this is one area i always like strengthening in and would spend siginificant money on.

Development talent:
Most impotatnly for me would be a young striker (which is very difficult to come by).
LB - Sessegnon (rumours we have already agreed this one).
Fosu-Mensah from United as he is an animal at 18 and Jose is great at ruining youth development.

What a time to be supporting this club, our new stadium is going to be amazing, it will blitz all the others in this league and be one of the best in Europe, some of the features we are adding are truly amazing.

London club, one of the best training grounds in Europe, one of the best stadium in Europe (2018), one of the best managers in Europe. Our pulling power for players will never be as high in the next coming years and all this on a net spend budget, it's quite astonishing.

a Top class creative CM (which i doubt we will ever buy because every top club wants one) & a Fast/Skillful #9

Wouldnt mind a real #10 that could dominate games but we have enough fill ins for now.

A special player.

We also need to hold on to the manager and continue to support him in the transfer market otherwise things could change very quickly.

Of course it would be nice to have a world-class player in the '3', but we're not going to be able to buy 'a Bale/Mahrez/Hazard' anytime soon. Thankfully, we have many players who have the potential to be world-class, so we just have to be patient.

Pace up front, although Son has recently started to fill that role, Janssen and Kane are very similar so don't work as a pair, a striker similar to rashford would be great, although ridiculously difficult to come by.

Very true. It's hard to wait to see a world class player develop, all the more satisfying when they do. In the mean time I think we are developing a side that has a sum greater than its parts.

Creativity from central midfield; someone who can orchestrate proceedings and help set the tempo. Basically Modric.

Bale behind Kane would probably be unstoppable as long as they both didn't try to hog the ball all the time.

C'est la vie though. We're in a very good place, resources wise. Now Poch just needs to utilise the squad correctly for the long season to come.

As a squad we have genuine competition for each position.

Many thought we needed a quick winger and in no time at all Son has popped up and started performing. Nkoudou is also waiting for his chance.

Too early to tell with Janssen.

Like others have said a Modric or Bale would be fantastic. Right now if we could have one I'd go with Modric. A deep lying playmaker could really set up our attacks and make us more dangerous in the final third.
