It's players like Stambo and Holtby that I like having at the club. Try hards that, whilst they may not possess the skill to be world beaters, make a difference to the team ethic. They are also not devoid of skill and can put a good shift in. Unlike the likes of Kaboul and the wage thief.

I am an advocate of keeping Stambouli for this season. Just to see if he can step up to being a first team regular. Poch' clearly doesn't rate the lad if he's likely to be off already.

Which does make me wonder why we signed him in the first place?

You would love supporting Stoke they specialise in those players

We haven't really seen enough of him to really judge him imo but I don't care if he goes, he barely played so I get the impression he can't be that good and unfortunately 4 him he's a victim of too midfielders at our club, especially if we sign a new cm. He'll never get the game time he needs

Presumably at some point we've offered PSG Stambouli plus cash for Rabiot, considering our interest.

Hope it doesn't open the door to Rabiot to West Ham.

Surely, seeing as we're talking to PSG, if we wanted Rabiot then that would have come up. I'd like us to get him, so I agree with you, but given our historic interest, better prospects and current interaction with PSG, if we wanted him I'd guess he'd come to us over Wham

Gutted about this, fucking gutted. Was an absolute warrior.

Feels as bad when Bale, Modric, Carrick and Berbatov were let go.

Anyway we'll bounce back, no one player bigger than the Club. COYS.

Except West Ham would be happy with a loan only, which PSG prefer, and we would insist on option to buy.

Fee yet to be agreed according to that. I wonder how many zero's Levy put on the initial negotiating price? :greedy:

Imagine poor Stambouli's face when he hears we rejected PSG and he'll have to settle for Watford.

Pfft, PSG will probably be paying 30 million for him and covering the cost of our new stadium by the time Levy is through with them. These people paid 50 million euros for David freakin' Luiz!:p

I kind of want to see him go to Watford just so I can really see if he can make it in the EPL.

I don't because i'd hate to see him be fantstic for them and then think why didn't we give him a chance.
Let him go to france and have a fantstic career and be totally forgotten by me.
