Like A&C says wear your shirt and enjoy it.

I think the American tradition of player names on shirts and most fans turning up in the home shirt is a really good thing. Problem over here is far too many, are far too cynical and think everything other than getting pissed and shouting obscenities at the away fans is childish.

I think the bigger problem here is lack of player loyalty - so you buy a shirt with a player's name on it and within a year they've probably been sold... At least with NFL, the top end players tend to stay put a lot longer, and don't change their number when they feel like it! But I think that's also something to do with merchandising income being shared out across all teams evenly.

Funny you sign off "Clueless Yank" but it seems your mates Are the clueless ones.

I agree but i've heard similar shite from UK fans as well about not wearing a your shirts to games - complete bollocks in my opinion.

I've always worn a shirt when going to games and so did my dad - even when i got a corporate day for my birthday the other year i wore white and navy - wear your colours and support your team i say.

Last name I had printed on my back was Paulinho...I vowed from that day never to get a name ever again.

My last one was Stephen Carr - The adidas/Holsten number, i loved that shirt but when he pissed off to 'win trophies' at Newcastle, i also decided against any future names/numbers.

Sometimes I'll wear one of my old shirts sometimes I won't bother. As other people have said it's all personal preference.

Enjoy the game and COYS!

Last one I had was Zokora. I still occasionally get some comments if I wear it. :D

Hoping no one noticed the edit. :shifty:

I was able to get tickets to the Tottenham - PSG match in Orlando on July 22nd. First time seeing the team live...but I've got a question about what to wear.

I have a kit...well, the shirt part of one anyway. Most of my friends who are fans of teams have them too, but unlike theirs, I have a players name and number on mine...its common for American Sports leagues so I did the same with my Tottenham shirt.

Ive been told that its not normally done that way (usually the back of the shirt is just left blank by whomever is buying it) and if I wear the shirt to the stadium, its a bad look.

So...what do I wear? I dont have any other Spurs gear other than a scarf and its going to be WAY too hot for that.

Thanks in advance,

a clueless Yank

Which players name and number?
