I think selling Trippier is key because now that Ndombele is signed, our weakest position in first 11 is right back. A top right back would immediately improve us from last year.
The purchase of Ndombele prior to selling anyone would indicate that, this summer at least, Levy is willing to buy first and sell later. Perhaps let's get the top right back in and then deal Trippier.

Problem is our transfer window shuts early. If we get an rb without shifting trips his price goes down (unless there is a bidding war). Teams from abroad know they have us over a barrell.

Levy will probably try and do both deals (out and in) close together so nobody can change their minds or prices.

Agree, just don’t think Poch sees RB as an absolute priority if we can’t shift Trippier.
Well we have Aurier, KWP, Foyth, Dier who can all play there if required. so you are probably right.
But a top class RB would be of benefit, we haven't looked the same since Walker went IMHO.

Is it not a case that although the window closes we can still sell players its just that we cannot buy? Therefore we will still be able to sell to any club outside the Premier League.

Yes. Just can't replace sold player.

If we buy a new rb and have 4 rbs on the books. Teams across europe will think they can get one for cheap.

I’d shift aurier first if we can. The problem with selling trippier is that he’s homegrown and, with AWB and aarons now out of the equation, any replacement will probably be foreign.

Personally I’d keep him one more year and have him, kwp and foyth battling for the rb spot; I’m eager to see how foyth gets on there

Depending on our other purchases, I don't think we'll have a space for a foreign RB.
