Ahead of Saturday's win against Brighton, Pochettino had been reminding his men the importance of set-piece defending.

He's one of the writers I like to read when it comes to Spurs, because he seems to like us. Another is his stablemate and superb writer, Jonathan Liew.

Big fan of Liew. He is always a well researched, thoughtful read even when you don’t agree and is a good egg on Twitter too.

He’s been showing them all up on Sunday Supplement whenever he’s allowed on for a while now. What keeps me watching, for when he pops up and Ashton embarrasses himself all over the shop

Only thing is that the improved defending at set pieces was also down to Gazzaniga not just Toby and Jan. Much more imposing than Vorm.

I know the goal was chalked off, but i did feel a little of the "here we go again moment" when Brighton headed the ball into our net.

So although we've improved, I'm not convinced our defensive frailties are fully behind us.
