I think he's a player of a different era; football has moved on over the last 3 to 4 years
I'm conflicted. I want them to both lose every match
Agree with most of what you've written there
The only point that's debatable is whether or not they should have bought Aubemeyang
I agree with you that it was a 'panic buy', but I also think it was a purchase they got lucky with, as he's worked out for them
Goalscorers are such a rarity in the game that finding one is always going to be a massive benefit. Arsenal are proof of this, as they're still 6th without a good defence and mediocre squad-depth; so they're better with Aubemeyang than without
What they could have done, however, was keep PEA and sell Lacazette, using the funds to restructure
They would probably get between £45m-£60m for Lacazette and although that wouldn't get them multiple top-quality experienced players, it would get them 2 (or 3 at a push) highly rated young prospects (e.g. Maddison, Grealish, etc)
And that's the way they're going to have to rebuild their side; young lads who will come good and will have a massive re-sell value
Difference being Riquleme was better.Absolutely, similar to when Villarreal built their team around Riquelme
There's a reason why PEA ended up there and not at a better club though. He's a goal scorer and nothing else.
How did we lose to this lot?
Agreed, and it seems like quite a few Arse fans are starting to agree with you too.
Id love to fuck her - so hot
