Why don’tnth Have any money ? Is Kronke milking them for other purposes ?

It looks that way.

Arsenal Fan TV were talking about it the other week. Basically Kronke took out a loan to purchase Arsenal and is now drawing out £14million (or something like that) a year to pay the interest on the loan.

But it doesn't look like he wants to put any of his own money into the club and is happy for them to be self-sustaining.

Which is a problem, because Wenger left the squad in such a state that they really need a £250million investment to get them comfortably challenging for the top-4, and possibly the league title.

I think they're going to have to play the long game and build like we did.

Problem is, their fans aren't very patient and there'll be constant protests again Kronke in the season's to come.

He doesn't give a flying fuck about Arsenal or football. It's purely a cash cow as far as he's concerned. If people think Levy is a penny-pinching businessmen with no soul then they should take a closer look at Kroenke who is far far worse. At least Levy does actually care about the club as well as it being a business.

Kroenke hasn't invested any of his own money into them and just siphons the profits off to his other businesses. One of the reasons they stagnated under Wenger was because Kroenke was perfectly happy with them just finishing in the top 4 every season. As long as the CL money kept flowing he didn't really care about trophies at all.

I guess the interesting thing will be if they continue to finish 6th then eventually they'll be generating less and less money not just by not getting CL money but also their brand will suffer and they'll lose commercial revenue. When/if that happens and he's not making as much profit as he used to, then he may be tempted to invest in the squad again to try and reestablish the brand etc. etc.

I read elsewhere they are pinning their financial hopes and transfer dreams on the new kit sponsorship.

The thing is though, if they sign a sponsorship now for X amount over, say, 5 years, but then during those 5 years they continually finish 6th and don't win anything or even compete properly, then when they go looking for their next sponsorship deal the amount they'll be able to get for it will be substantially lower. There's only so long they can stay like they have been without their brand/marketability etc. and subsequently revenue taking a hit. Once it starts biting Kroenke in the pocket he might be more motivated to do something about it.

Here it is £60mill x 5 years...
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/oct/08/arsenal-adidas-new-kit-supplier-puma
.
Adidas might not be getting as much as they thought out of the deal and Kroenke might be moving some of that money into other operations.

Fair play to Arsenal; that is a monster deal for a club that isn't in the CL and is nowhere near winning the PL

But as you say, ol' Stan might siphon off some (or most) of that into his own bank account

Another aspect to consider is that Kroenke has already made a stack of profit on Arsenal shares.

So he may be happy to take money out of the club every season, as he doesn't need to 'speculate to accumulate' to make good on his initial investment; he's already made his money back and more besides.

This is the problem with American owners. They inevitably also own an NFL/NBA/MLB team so their actual interests in the English football club is somewhat lesser and purely for monetary reasons.

To be honest I don't think it's necessarily even that. I'm not sure Kroenke gives any more of a shit about the Chargers than he does about Arsenal. To guys like him it's all just a way to make money and they're no more sentimental about it than someone who invests in any other business. The only owners who give a shit about the team are ones who grew up supporting them but those kind of owners are now few and far between, regardless of whether they're American/Arab/Chinese or even English, just look at Mike Ashley.

If Kroenke has bought out Usmanov for £500k+ as rumoured then Arsenal will be short of cash.
Kroenke wont be dipping into his own pocket for this - he'll raid the cash reserves plus take out another loan - interest paid by the club. That's what I suspect.

I know it's the gooners, but that's not right. The PL need should be doing more to prevent this type of investment as it could adversely affect the game

I'm not sure there's much they can do legally to be honest.

As I said before Arsenal had no qualms taking £10 million to wear the Visit Rwanda badge on their sleeves from the President of the impoverished country who is an Arsenal supporter and hoovers up £60 odd mill in foreign aid from the UK plus much more from around the world.

Arsenal will eventually go completely private under kroenke. No more AGM for fans to complain at, no more financial books to look at. Debt serviced against the club. They could end up like Coventry City. I'd like to laugh, but as a football fan its worrying. What happens if they fail to make the europa league? Obviously not this season but in the near future.
Maybe they should start again on plumstead common with a new arsenal. Maybe they should do a blackpool, and stay away with almost 0 attendance. The next 20 years is going to be fairly crucial for them i think.
Its Arsenal...yeah sorry i'm gonna have a laugh anyway.:D

Got a little bit of ITK on Bellerin (and this probably goes for many modern footballers) from someone who worked at the club. He said that when Bellerin first broke through he was a good lad, focused and very committed to his own development. Then, when Barcelona started showing a bit of interest, it coincided with changing his agent/PR team who told him that he needed to pay more attention to his image and visibility on social media, and that would earn him the big money move to Barca. From that moment on he completely changed, stopped putting as much effort in improving as a player and started getting spotted at every social event.

I know that this is nothing earth-shattering but it just highlights the amount of scummy people and gold diggers advising these young impressionable players. They've made Bellerin believe that his image was more important than what he did on the pitch and that in order to be successful you need to 'look the part'. Imagine if this was KWP, we'd be spitting feathers. A sad reflection on the modern game, even if this is Arsenal.
