I was wondering how Arsenal would cope without him, but then I remembered that they've had to do that for his entire Arsenal career.

Would 'Jump In Jack' be able to do the 'Men Of Iron' crossed arms pose without snapping something ?

We'll all remember him in our different ways. Whether breaking his leg trying to tackle Kane, losing his rag with Lamela when Erik called him a pussy or watching Bale rile him with the universal hand gesture for 'shortarse', he's always been there for us when we've needed a bit of comic relief.

Would love YouTube links for any of these, struggled to find them myself.

If he was fit and wasn't such a melt I would take him, cracking little player but completely unprofessional off the pitch in terms of not looking after himself.

All the hype and he didn’t end up being much better than Tom Carroll, and we at least got £8m for him

He’s not a cracking little player though.

He’s nothing like as good as the media and his own press department makes him out to be.

He showed a lot of promise when he was younger, but he got Wenger-fied. Look at his last season - he played plenty, but he wasn’t progressive, he didn’t pass forwards, he didn’t break lines, he didn’t get assists, or goals, or win the ball - he didn’t do anything he was supposed to be good at, because he’s no longer any good at those things.

He played crab football and was constantly petrified of being injured. He was totally ineffective and that’s why he isn’t in the England squad and why no-one at Arsenal cares if he leaves for nothing.

A classically overhyped player because he’s English and was young at one point. The new Jack Rodwell.

He’s ruled out a move to Arsenal’s main rivals.

Sean Dyche has now switched his attention to other targets.
